Kirsten Bornkessel Chats With TMI About Her New Single “Gasoline”

Hey Kristen! So excited to be chatting with you! How have you been during this crazy time? Can you spill any fun tips to keep your supporters happy and productive during this time at home?

Hello! Thank you so much for including me in this interview. This definitely is a crazy time for many and I’m sure anybody, including me, could use some guidance.

I’ve found myself becoming happier when I focus on developing myself as a person. I’ve spent so much time becoming more of who I want to be, and that is an inspiring artist. It’s best to take everyday at a time and work on a task that benefits you and who you want to be.

Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you this summer?!?

I hope to perform wherever I can this Summer! I will be singing my new single, Gasoline, and two other originals that will be coming out in the next few months. I also want to challenge myself by writing new music as much as possible, especially music with inspiring messages. My supporters can look forward to a lot of new stuff from me ASAP.

You just released your new single “Gasoline”!! Can you tell us what this song means to you?

Gasoline is a love song that tells a story about a relationship. Metaphorically, the boy is gasoline feeding the relationships fire to keep them going. This song is very special to me because I’ve witnessed many relationships where no matter what challenges the couple may face, they keep going.

How did this song come about?

I had help from my producer, Alex Houton. Houton helped me focus on the metaphor which really made Gasoline come to life.

Can you spill any details on the new releases you have planned coming up?

My next single, Sunrise, is coming out May 15th. This one may be my favorite because the beat is very uplifting and fun. I also have another song called Heavy coming out after Sunrise. This song is a little more mellow but the message is very powerful. Can’t wait for my supporters to hear them.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original content?

Releasing my own original content is an incredible feeling. I feel like I’m a step closer to achieving my dreams and inspiring others to do the same. I love being able to spread a message through melody and allowing people to feel something.

Do you have a favorite song you’re releasing this summer?

As of now, I’m releasing Heavy during the Summer. This is a song you can play by the campfire and chill to. Hopefully I’ll be writing and releasing more as time goes on.

What is your current favorite go-to song?

My favorite go to song will ALWAYS be Yellow by Coldplay. I find it to be such an incredibly written song and anybody can enjoy its guitar and lyrics. I could play Yellow in a car full of friends or by myself and I’d always appreciate every moment of it.

What is your favorite social media platform? Why?

My favorite social media platform is Instagram. This platform is a great way to spread any message to your followers wether that be through photos or music on your story. It can be very powerful when it comes to promoting.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest dream is just to inspire others though my music. Whether that be a few close fans or a million people. Lyrics can be very powerful to others and may just change someone’s life.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Stay true to yourself! You can accomplish anything when you put your mind to it and reach for it everyday. Take this time to focus on who you are as a person. You have a purpose on this Earth!
