Hey Kennedy! So excited to be chatting with you again! How’ve you been since last we spoke?

I’ve been really well actually. I took a trip back home for the holidays to see my family and friends and we all had a great time together.

You just released your new single “Heart Breaker” & it’s awesome! Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?

Thank you, at the time when I wrote it I wasn’t going through anything specific. I would say it was just a tiny crush thing but I love writing and as the years went by I realized ‘wow Kennedy you didn’t even go through a heartbreak and you knew what every teenage girl goes through at some point’. I’m really proud of this song not only because I wrote it but because girls like me can relate to it and actually enjoy it!

You also have more music coming out in 2020!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to this year?!?

I’m really excited about this new year and have been working on a lot of cool new things. The only thing I will spill is yes, I have been writing a lot and I really hope you guys like what I have to say and you enjoy what you hear.

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?

Yes, As an artist I think it’s best to always let the creator have a say in everything that’s happening because it’s the “artists” music. Actually no, In the very beginning I didn’t understand how everything worked so I had a vision with my first songs and my team did an excellent job of understanding what I wanted my audience to hear.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

It feels amazing. I really do love it. Every time I finish a new song that I’ve wrote I’m speechless because I want my audience to listen to everything I have to say and how I feel in music. I want people to know me and feel closer to me through my songs.

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video 🙂

I’ve had a lot of ideas and thoughts running through my head but we are just drafting at the moment. You’ll have to wait and see.

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

Huge thank you to my whole team for showing me the routes and getting me to where I am today but if I’m being specific, I really wanna say thank you to Marc Williams and C-Ray Roberts for being the best producers and seeing a bright future in me, helping me achieve the goals I never thought I could, and creating the best songs with me. Another huge thank you to my parents, they truly are my biggest fans and because of them I wouldn’t be where I am today without their love and support through it all.

What do you think makes your fan community/fandom different from others?

I don’t really look at my audience as fans to me they are like family. Without them cheering me on, going through all of this with me and being supportive as well they have kept me going for all these years.

How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?

Supportive, caring, and remarkable.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

One thing I’ve always stuck by is “Make music and be a good influence for not only your fans but their parents too” I wanna say to my fans is I’m a fun filled, caring, spunky girl that loves making music and entertaining people. My music is always gonna represent me and how I’m feeling. I want people to want to listen, grow and love me for me.

Do you have any preshow rituals that help you get pumped up to meet your supporters?

I don’t think I have any rituals but I definitely listen to inspirational music, jump around, smile and pray.

Are you planning any shows to promote your new music?

I have a release party coming very soon for “Heartbreaker” check my social media outlets for details.

What is it like performing in front of your fans? Are you excited to start performing your own music

I’ve always loved performing on stage live and especially in front of people who actually are there for me. Seeing my fans in the audience singing my words makes me feel so unbelievably happy.

What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?

I think it’s important to always stay true to yourself. No matter what anyone thinks about you, you know deep in your heart who you really are and you should never change that.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

What I love almost as much as making music is spending time with my loved ones

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Growth

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Ariana Grande

Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists like yourself?

Social media is good for being yourself and showing people your dreams/goals and what makes you happy in life and for me it’s music.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

Going on tour performing my songs for all my fans in the next 3 years.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Without all of you I wouldn’t be where I am today so I want to thank each and everyone of you for listening, supporting, being like a family to me and going through this journey with me. I can’t wait to see where my path leads in the future.
