Hey Kaylee, So excited to be chatting with you 🙂 What inspired you to pursue music?

My family moved to a smaller town in Florida when I was in middle school. It was a hard transition for me at first, so I spent a lot of that time teaching myself how to play guitar.

How would you describe your musical style?

I grew up in Miami, Florida and then moved to a small town called St. Augustine. Spending half my life in a big city and half in a small town has introduced me to all types of music and reflects in my artistic style. I’d say my music is country with a blend of hip-hop and pop.

What artists do you look up to right now?

Right now, I’d say Kacey Musgraves is an artist that is paving her on lane and creating a style of country that appeals to all types of people. I really respect her and what she stands for as an artist and love her creative lyrics.

Does your fanbase have a name yet?

Ha! Some girls have passed around the name “Rose Buds” but I haven’t heard anything official yet!

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

I want them to feel like I’m their friend and that my songs are something they can truly relate to their own personal experiences.

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?

The first time I played the Bluebird, a fan that followed my music in Florida drove all the way up from St. Augustine to Nashville to catch the show.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

Instagram is my favorite. I’m on there 24/7!

You just released your powerful new single “Stuff” and its gotten an amazing reaction from your supporters!! What has been your thought on the success of your new single?

I am just happy that people like and can relate to my song. This song shows a different side of my style, a more serious side, so I am just happy to have positive feedback on it.

Can you tell us the meaning of your new single “Stuff” & how it came about?

My friend went through a breakup and had mentioned to me that she still had her ex’s belongings (two years later) and that’s how the idea started. I wrote down the title stuff and the concept of what the song would be about.

Are you releasing any more new music soon?

Yes I definitely plan on releasing another single or two this year.

What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?

My ultimate goal is to have a large crowd singing my song to me. Whether its a song I wrote for me or another artist.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career so far?

I’m not sure if I have one big defining accomplishment. This industry is all about the small victories. I have gotten to play some amazing shows with established artists and writers and have worked with amazing people throughout my time here.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?
