So Jenna, you started your music career at a very young age, what inspired you to try music at all?

When I was 2 years old , and my parents would put the radio on in the car.I would dance in my car seat. Sing and just love to listen to the music. I would watch old Shirley Temple movies and copy her tap dancing steps. My parents enrolled me in The Dickerson Performing Arts School at age 2 because I literally couldn’t stop dancing. I loved Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and of course Selena Gomez. I actually thought I could find her name in the phone book and look her up and become her friend.

How would you describe your musical style?

Definitely Pop.

What artists do you look up to right now?

Dua Lipa, Alessia Cara,Selena Gomez, Rhianna, Beyonce,Drake, Justin Bieber.

Whats your friends and parents thoughts on your career in singing?

My parents have supported me throughout my singing career. My friends have always been there through my ups and downs and that has meant a lot to me.

Your big break in the music industry was when you released your single, “My Jeans”. Can you tell us how that song came about and how did you feel when you saw the song went viral?

I was in a showcase at Sir Studios in New York City and coincidentally Beyonce was rehearsing in the next room. Baby Triggy and his dad were there, noticed me and wrote the song. They got my contact info and called, had me go to their office and listen to the lyrics and beat. I recorded that song in about 20 minutes. When the song went viral , I was shell shocked. It literally went from 5000 views to 1 million overnight and kept gaining momentum. It was a very exciting time for me and one that I will never forget.

You also got to remake the Dionne Warwick hit, “Walk on By”, with Dionne Warwick. Can you tell us about that experience?

I was performing at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles. Rhianna’s team was there and called Damon Elliott who was in Disneyland with his 13 year old daughter, my age at the time, and said he had to leave Disney immediately and see my act. He came and said he wanted to take me under his wing and produce my album. He had produced Pink, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Destinys Child. He was also Dionne Warwick’s son. It was his idea to revamp and modernize Walk on By with Dionne’s permission. She agreed and we made the remake and music video together. My experience with her, was that she was down to earth and very classy.

Some of your songs have been played on the radio, What was your reaction the first time you heard yourself on the radio?

I literally jumped around the whole house. Amazing experience. Would love to have one of newer originals like Do or Die and Love it or Leave it do the same. They have the potential of being big hits. Just need the right people to hear them.

You just recently released a new single titled “Do Or Die”. How did this song come about? & Whats the meaning of the song?

I recieved an email from a famous boy band , can’t disclose the name who wanted to give me the song to record if I liked it, I’m always open to recording and collaborating with producers and artists. I loved , really loved Do or Die and recorded and made the music video for that song. The song is about Women Empowerment, and the competition between women in clubs for the men in the clubs. Its about the drama that happens in the clubs.

How did the idea for the music video come about? & Whats the process to make a “Jenna Rose” music video?

My choreographer actually directed that video. She has a wonderful insight and artistic approach and literally dreams how the video should be done. A Jenna Rose video can take at least 6-11 hrs. Its hard work to make 4-5 minute video.
