Hey Guys!! So excited to be chatting with you!! Can you tell us a little bit about yourselves?

Hey! Thanks so much for having us. We are twin sister Southern Rock duo Jaye Madison. We are from Southeast Texas and have been in Nashville now for 6 years.

How’d you guys decide on the name Jaye Madison?

It took a lot of trial and error. We went through a lot of more complicated names trying to be clever. We realized it was best to keep it simple. We used Jaye as a shoutout to Jordan and Madison, well, for Madison.

Can you tell our readers what you’ve been up to recently?

We recently released our single, “Down” available wherever you can buy and listen to music!

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

Our parents. They have been supportive of us since the beginning. We also have had a lot of musical mentors along the way. If we named everyone who has helped us, the list would be a mile long.

What has it been like having your new single “Down” Spinning on Radio Worldwide?

It’s been such a thrill! We are definitely checking that off the bucket list, and hopefully our audience will keep growing, so we can connect with more people!

Can you tell us the meaning behind your new single?

We wrote “Down” to pay homage to where we come from. It’s fun, upbeat, and we wanted to make people feel like they are eating gumbo on their grandma’s porch in the summer.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Everything!

With an already massive fanbase your fans must they have a name for themselves. What do your fans call themselves? And How did that fanbase name catch on?

We actually don’t have a name for our fan base. We’ll get started on that….We guess for now, we can call them family!

Many of your supporters are starstruck when they meet you. Have you ever been starstruck?

We met Danny Gokey and Kris Allen on an American Idol tour, and we could barely speak!! Haha Jordan met Trace Adkins once when she was working at the Opry Backstage Grill, he was very nice!

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

Well, these questions make it seem like we are on Taylor Swift level fame. We most definitely are not! Haha we are just normal humans. If you see us in the grocery store and love our music, please say hi!!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists today?

It’s an easy way to communicate with everyone all at once! We love that social media exists for artists these days. We can talk to anyone in the world, at any time.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

We try to stay active on every platform. I would say Instagram has been our personal favorite.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

We want to be the pals they feel like they can call up and go to brunch with. The friends they can lean on when times are crazy. We want to just be us, but multiplied to the masses.

Many siblings don’t get to work in the same industry let alone get to collaborate on projects together. Do you like getting to collaborate with your sibling on social media?

We love working together, and as twins, don’t know life without each other. Jordan is naturally more extroverted, and Madison is naturally introverted. Our personalities don’t clash most of the time, and we make up for each other’s weaknesses. We are the dream team!

Are there any fun projects in the works you can tell us about?

Well, with Coronavirus changing the landscape of the near future, we are planning on using this time to plan an album of original music. Best case scenario we release that this year! We have spent the last few years writing so much, and can’t wait to share it with everyone.

What inspired y’all to pursue music?

It was something already inside us. From the age of 4 we have been humming along to every song we hear. By age 6 we were in community theater productions every summer until our senior year in high school. By then, we realized we wanted to write our own stuff, and Nashville was the best place for us to pursue that.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Heart, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Ester Dean, Ryan Tedder, Shane McAnally, Rick Barker…SO many people!

What artists do you look up to right now?

Mickey Guyton is killing it right now, and we absolutely love her new song, “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?” We look up to every artist using their platform to speak on important issues.

Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?

We don’t have any dates set, but keep an eye out on our socials for updates!

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

Releasing an album of original songs is our next big dream, we also would love to perform at CMA fest. Keep an eye out to see if we make that a reality this year.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thanks for sticking this out with us. Thank you to all of those who have supported us in our beginning. We promise every share and comment never goes unnoticed. We appreciate everything, and hope you’ll stay along for the ride!

Thanks for taking the time and doing this interview ?
