So Logan, you started your music career at a very young age, what inspired you to try music at all?
When I first started doing music it really wasn’t music. I did poetry and my mom would make me perform them live. I received a lot of good feedback and by the time I got to middle school I turned it into rapping. The British duo Bars and Melody really inspired me with their song Hopeful and to this day it’s my most requested song to perform.
How would you describe your musical style?
Positivity. Any music I put out it’s about being positive, or anti- bullying, even heartbreak and love songs sometimes. There is so many artist out there who talk about downsizing people I just want to inspire people.
What artists do you look up to right now?
Growing up my two golden artists was Justin Bieber and One Direction. I still listen and admire them both but Zach Clayton, Jacob Sartorius, Mark Thomas those new kids I’m in love with their music. There isn’t a day that I don’t listen to sweatshirt, selfie, or Face to Face. Especially for kids that young to be so successful they are true inspirations. Jack and Jack also is amazing. I aspire to one day be able to perform in front of them.
Whats your friends and parents thoughts on your career in singing?
My parents they have no clue. They don’t really support it. All my support comes from my amazing supporters. They have no idea of the support I get. I work hard to be able to one day show my parents the family I made and hope they are proud of me.
Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?
In 2017 music is definitely coming but I want to focus on expanding my social media more. I’m working on social media more so I can get more viewers. I first started as a comedian doing vine before music. So I think it’s important to stay true to my roots.
Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’m working with some companies on merch and touring both internationally and in the U.S. I’m working more with a campaign called Don’t Bully as a Anti- Bullying Ambassador.
Did you have a “break out” song that started things for you with your followers?
Yes! Like I said before my cover of Hopeful by Bars and Melody is what I’m mostly recognized for. You can see both covers on my YouTube Channel.
Whats your favorite song to perform live?
My favorite song to perform live has to be Tides by Jack and Jack. I love the song and it always seems to have a deep personal connection with me.
Whats the feeling you get when on stage and your fans are singing back to you?
It’s amazing. The fans mean the world to me. It’s a special connection being on stage and performing for them. I always want to do my best.
How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?
My fans and the relationship is amazing! I have fans from four years ago and now still supporting me. I have some fans who left when I came out as transgender female to male last year January and recently today on Jan 9th when I came out as Gay. Those weren’t the real fans but the ones that make fan account, text me everyday. Dm me to make sure I’m okay those are. I get a lot of dms from supporters young and old saying how I’ve helped them with depression or how a family member just passed away and they want to give up. And it just amazes me how much I a kid from a small town in New York that NO ONE knows of could impact so many people from different countries. Its amazing and humbling. I plan on giving back to my fans soon. I love them too much to ever let them down. I owe them everything and that’s what they are going to get everything.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?
Instagram. Instagram is where I get most of my support. If you ever need me just Dm me on Instagram.
Whats something you have that you can’t live without?
My heart. Ahaha like my joke. But seriously putting heart into everything I do makes me want to live. If you don’t give your heart and soul to whatever you do every single day than your not really living.
What’s an average day for “Logan Carter” look like?
I usually get up around 7 o clock every morning. If it’s a school day than I just go to school, come home do my homework and go to bed. The weekend is when I come alive. Usually I wake up around 10 and I eat breakfast. I usually go on Instagram post a story, respond to some dms, and check my texts. Then I get prepared for a singing lesson and recording studio time usually in the afternoon. I spend a lot of time on my phone. I don’t have a manger so I’m always doing business stuff. At the end of the day i usually just check my dms for any fans who need support I want them to go to bed knowing someone cares for them.
Whats the best thing thats come out of this career so far?
Support and friends. I don’t have the biggest following but I have social media friends that are influencers and they treat me like I’m as big as they are. They don’t care how small I am and they help me out anyway I can. Specifically I want to give a shoutout to my friends Kassidy Clark, Noah Banks, Mark Warner, Kameron Keeling, Kade, Spencer King, and James Hannon, and Michael Brock. Those guys are amazing. And I hope to grow with them and meet them someday.
What’s your biggest struggle in this career so far?
My biggest struggle is dealing with racist and homophobic people. I’ve Gotten death threats. Hacked, people saying they were going to shoot me, calling me the N word, people calling me Retarted because of my special disability, and a lot of other stuff. It’s hard but my fans remind me I am loved.
Do you have any advice for aspiring music artists?
Keep grinding. Never give up. I know what’s it like to have family and friends not believe in you. If you believe in yourself that’s all that matters. Keep doing you. You’re going to make it. And don’t get so popular where do Don’t want to talk to people who aren’t as popular as you. It’s rude and ignorant. I’ve dealt with people I’ve helped grow and once they surpass me they try to tear me down. Just always spread positivity.
Last thing, Do you have anything you went to tell your fans?
Yes. Loganizers, Supporters, friends, family whatever you call yourself thank you! I cannot say this enough for taking your time to deal with me. Currently I’m a 18 about to turn 19 year old kid chasing my dreams despite what others think. You guys have supported me through thick and thin while dealing with your own crap. That’s makes you the strongest people I know. I look up to you probably more than you do me. You’re amazing and loved never forget that. I love you all
