Childhood best friends Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson of Jack & Jack have become internet sensations after becoming successful on the popular app, Vine. The duo from Nebraska turned their success from Vine into a very successful career as musicians.
Jack Gilinsky was born on September 10, 1996 to parents Katherine and David. He has two older sisters named Molly and Laura.
Jack Johnson was born on March 24, 1996 to parents John and Jennifer, and he has an older brother named Jeff.
I love how two childhood best friends who met in kindergarten took an idea and something that they loved doing and made it into something so successful.
With their different musical styles, their voices collide to make some of the best, upbeat, and fun music. The duo’s 2014 hit single “Wild Life” reached #87 on the US Billboard 100 Chart, and hit #2 on iTunes. Jack & Jack have sure come a very long way since posting six second videos on Vine in 2013.
Not only does the duo have two mobile app games, but they have collaborated with stars such as Shawn Mendes, Emblem3, and Steve Aoki.
They were even in Macon with Vine stars such as Cameron Dallas, Taylor Caniff, Carter Reynolds, Nash Grier, Aaron Carpenter, Matthew Espinosa, and Shawn Mendes.
Is there anything these boys can’t do? They can sing, play, instruments, and they are beyond hilarious. In July of 2015, Jack & Jack independently released a debut (EP) album “Calibraska”, which reached #1 on the US iTunes chart within just a few short hours after being released.
Multiple singles, music videos, award nominations, a film, and even a tour that they just finished up. These boys are reaching for the stars. Even their Twitter bio is amazing, “@JackJ and @jackgilinsky. One sings, One raps, we are Jack and Jack.”
So, Jack & Jack fans, how excited are you about their new book, ‘You Don’t Know Jacks’? What about the tour?
