What inspired you to pursue a career in acting?
What inspired me was a Make-A-Wish I was given. I had Leukemia when I was 4. My Make-A-Wish was to meet Miranda Cosgrove who played Carly on ICarly at the time. I got to go on the set of ICarly and meet Miranda. When I stepped my feet onto the set it felt like I was home, I knew this was a place I could get used to. I learned that acting was something I wanted to pursue as a career just like her.
What’s been your favorite role to play and why?
My favorite role I’ve played so far in acting is probably young Chloe in a Disney movie called Summer Forever. For voice over my favorite role I’ve played is definitely Tweet on Ruff Ruff Tweet and Dave.
What’s an average week like for you?
An average week for me looks pretty busy. I have a lot of school since I’m dual enrolled with high school and college, I play the ukulele and guitar, I go boxing, and I sing all the time.
Did you want to be an actor when you were little, or did that develop later on?
I did theatre when I was younger before I started on camera acting . As much as I enjoyed that, acting is a better career choice for me.
Have you ever been starstruck by anyone you’ve met so far?
There are a few people I was shocked when I met! I’ve met youtubers like David Dobrik, reality star Paul Abrahamian, and Justin Bieber.
Are there any acting projects in the works you can tell us about?
Yes! I have a trilogy movie project in the works but I can’t talk about it. I am very excited about it though!
What are your friends and parents thoughts on your career in acting?
I’ve made many friends who also act in the industry. My friends and family back home in Florida support me every step of the way also, even though they miss me.
What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?
I’ve set out goals like to be in a feature film, to voice a character in an anime show, and to take my best friend to Coachella.
What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment so far in your career and personal life?
I think between my personal life and in my career, surviving high-risk Leukemia is definitely my biggest accomplishment.
Overall, how has this whole acting career experience been for you?
It’s been pretty good, there have been a lot of ups and downs though.
Do you have an advice for anyone trying to make it as an actor?
Acting can be pretty tough, there most likely will be a lot of times that a casting director will cast someone else even if you were think going to get the role. You just got to stay positive because there’s that one role out there waiting to find you and waiting to change your life.
Your voice also can be heard on the kids series Ruff Ruff Tweet and Dave. What led you to start doing voice over?
When I was a little kid I would always copy things I hear, like buckling a seatbelt or Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks. When I came out to California and found out that that was an actual job to copy sounds and be animated characters for tv and movies, I knew I had to try it.
Do you want to do more voiceovers in the future?
Yes of course!! I love voiceover and everything about it! I couldn’t imagine not doing it again.
