Today, 17-year-old rising pop artist Finn Matthews has released his new single “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” via Tiger BeatPRESS HERE to listen. The song, co-written by Kendall Schmidt of Big Time Rush, comes just in time for summer with tropical synths that heighten the carefree vibe of the track, highlighted by Finn’s breezy vocals. “‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice‘ is about how nice it would be to get away from the stress and drama of our everyday lives,” says the LA-based artist. “I co-wrote the song with Kendall Schmidt (Big Time Rush), and it was an amazing learning experience to work with someone who has reached a level of success that I aspire to reach.”

Wouldn’t It Be Nice” is preceded by Finn’s previous releases, including debut teen anthem “Half Hearted,” and emotional ballad “I Wrote A Love Song,” which was released exclusively for the Amazon Music Original playlist Love Me Not for Valentine’s Day. Finn’s most recent infectious release “Julia” had listeners dancing and even had Hollywood Life saying that the rising artist “is basically the new Ed Sheeran.”

Finn’s career started when he found a mentor in Elijah Blake, who has penned hits such as Usher’s “Climax” and Rihanna’s “No Love Allowed,” after they happened to meet each other one day in a recording studio. Live Nation has since partnered with Finn to help launch his career. At 17, he has moved from the suburbs of Atlantic City, NJ to Los Angeles where he has dove into his music career head on. He recently performed with Swedish singer-songwriter Léon at the Ones to Watch showcase (PRESS HERE to watch).
