Hey Emily!! So excited to be talking with you again. You’ve been busy with music recently. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to over the past few months?

Hi Guys! Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me. I have been really busy over the last few months.

I have just finished a 5 week/25 show High School Nation Tour across the U.S., which I loved! It was incredible giving back to the students and connecting with fans on a more personal level.

I released a fresh new single “So Bad” and more recently I released my very first Christmas single, ‘Jingle Jingle,’ which was actually featured in the 2018 Hallmark Christmas movie Homegrown Christmas.

Your new song, ‘So Bad’ is amazing, What was the process like creating this song? What was your first thought of your new song?

Thank you! I was working with my producer on another song and during a break he pulled out this track and I instantly fell in love with it. It really fit my musical style and I was just so excited to lay it down and perform it!

We also have a club remix for “So Bad” coming very soon!

How have the fans been reacting to the new song?

I’m so thankful for the reception ‘So Bad’ has been getting! I performed it as part of my set on tour, which was incredible, and I think the crowds really got it!

It currently has over 280,000 streams on Spotify! I’m also very excited that the “So Bad” music video will be dropping early 2019.

You also had a new Christmas single come out! How did “Jingle Jingle” come about?

“Jingle Jingle” is my very first Christmas release and I’m so grateful for the response it’s been getting! It made it onto one of Spotify’s international Christmas playlists and was played almost a million times in stores across North America during December! This was one of my favorite group projects! The idea was the brainchild of my co-writer Cindy Valentine. While we were in Denver for my Pride Week performances, we teamed up with local producer Jeff Warnock to lay everything down in his studio. Although we were all in love with the track, we felt it needed a little something extra to really create a fun Christmas anthem with an underlying pop/dance flavor. We brought in one of our favorite producers, Niko The Kid, who spiced up the track to deliver what is now ‘Jingle Jingle.’

What do you hope to gain out of this huge accomplishment?

Having ‘Jingle Jingle’ featured in a film is a level of recognition by my peers in the industry that is very special. I hope that I continue to produce music that is not only loved by my fans but can find a place bringing something special to Film and TV productions.

What goals have you set out for yourself in your career?

I like to take on every opportunity and give it everything I’ve got so that I have a strong foundation when building up to the next thing.

If I half ass something along the way, I’ve put a dent in the foundation and when you finally get to the top, it may all just fall down.

However, if you put 100% into every step along the way, no matter how big or small, the foundation will be strong and it will stand tall, not only creating strength but also longevity.

How has this whole music career experience been?

It has been the most amazing, fulfilling experience of my life! Sure, it’s had its ups and downs – I mean it’s hard work, long hours, putting yourself out there and being vulnerable, accepting criticism and lots of disappointments but it’s also fun, satisfying, exciting, sharing a special bond with your fans and music lovers and so exciting.

I‘m so lucky to be able to do what I love!

What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment in your career so far?

Probably making it into the Top 10 on the Billboard Dance Charts!

What did you do for the holidays?

I went home to Australia to spend the holidays with my family who I hadn’t seen in nine months! I had the best time catching up with everyone, enjoying the Aussie summer and watching the cricket with my Dad!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you so much to all of you! I wouldn’t be the artist I am if it wasn’t for your support. I can’t wait to create and share more music with you all soon.

I have a lot more music and visuals ready to release in 2019 so stay keen for that!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview with us

Thank you so much!
