Hey Alyssa! So excited to be chatting with you! You are gearing up for the release of your new single! How excited are you to get this song out into the world?!?

I’m really excited to release my next new single “Oblivious” the end of October, beginning of November.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope and believe that everyone loves the new song. It’s relatable. It’s a current pop country song.

Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?

I cowrote this song and we wanted to write about something relatable to both men and women even though this song is about a girl telling a boy he’s oblivious and can’t see she’s into him.  It’s what I see my friends going through. I’ve even had boys who were into me and I didn’t even realize it until it was too late.

Will there be a music video for your new single?

A music video will be done approximately a month or two after the song is released.

You also have more music coming out in 2019!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to?!?

I’m currently finishing up writing a holiday song. I hope to release the holiday by the end of November.

I will be releasing new songs every three to four months.

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?

Yes, I have a creative say in my music. I either write myself or cowrite with others. I always have my hand in my music.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

It’s an awesome feeling and a nice accomplishment. I love seeing and hearing the final product.

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

I want to thank my parents and my grandmother for their support. They believe in me and my music.

I want to thank my piano teacher, Steve Behrens, for teaching me music theory. Because I learned classical piano first, I have been able to pick up playing multiple instruments.  I want to thank my vocal coaches for working with me through my allergies and vocal changes I have been going through.  I want to thank my friends and mentors, Maggie Baugh and Keith Ridenour for working with me on song writing, guitar skills and much more. I’m very grateful for my ASCAP representative for guiding me and encouraging me to write with others.  I am thankful for my friend Joe Ortiz. He not only built my website but he has been the most encouraging and supportive friend we have. He is an amazing person and a giving person as well. I’m thankful for everyone who is on this journey with me.

How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?

My fans are awesome, They are so supportive and encouraging. They comment on and share my music. They get others to follow me as well. Awesome supportive and encouraging are three words I would use to describe my fans.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I want my fans to see I’m an honest, genuine and a good person. My message to my fans is to be true to yourself. Love yourself and others around you. Be happy and encourage others to be the best they can be. Share a smile to make others smile too.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Self confidence

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

I’m just like them. I  am no different that they are. I am a human being who has ups and downs in life like they do. I am just a little shy though.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

I would love to meet Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift started her career at a young age. She is a very strong woman and has done extremely well for herself. She is definitely a good mentor to have.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social media is important as it allows me to follow others journey and others to follow mine. It allows me to share my music with the world as an independent artist.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest goal is to have my songs played in movies, tv shows and also to have other hit artists use my songs. I would love a publishing deal and a record label.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you for all of your love and support.  You make making music fun!
