You just released your new single “ONLY NEED ONE” & it’s awesome! What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?
I hope that my supporters will be encouraged to always believe in themselves even if others don’t. I wrote this song to express my journey in the music industry and some of the struggles that I have faced along the way. I have learned that not everyone will support you for various reasons, and that’s ok because you only need yourself to be successful in whatever you pursue in life.
What’s been the pros and cons of pursuing your music career?
The pro’s have definitely been doing what I love each and every day. I love to sing and perform so doing what you love is always an advantage. I have met so many wonderful people along the way including the team with the SOS Foundation, my producer Andrew Lane and many other artists from all around the country.
One of the con’s has been my young age. My age has held me back from several opportunities but I know that in a few years age will not be a factor for me any longer. Most say that I am beyond my years which is a compliment, however can be a drawback in the music industry.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
WOW…so many people I would want to thank. FIrst would be my mom and dad because without them, I would not have experienced the amazing opportunities that I have received. I would thank my producer Andrew Lane for helping me start professionally in the music industry. I would thank Paula with the SOS Foundation for giving me an opportunity to become an ambassador for a cause that I hold very near to my heart. I would thank my amazing voice instructor Beau Stroupe for always supporting me in all that I do.
What do you think makes your fan community/fandom different from others?
Actually I have an older fan base. Most have no idea that I am as young as I am so most of my fans are a bit older than me. It’s actually pretty cool because I find it challenging to always push myself to own up to that maturity level. I also have fans that are my age and they are wonderful. I have the most supportive fans ever!!
How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?
Supportive, amazing and incredible
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I want my fans to always find encouragement with my songs and most importantly my attitude. I feel that if I try to be a positive and caring person that it will help kids my own age. With so much bullying that happens on a daily basis, I want to be that person who offers a little bit of hope to those who struggle. I hope that my music will offer encouragement to them.
Most of my fans have no idea that I love old things. My parents say that I am a grandma trapped in a teen body. I love crocheting, shopping with my grandmother and candle shopping with my mother.
Yes, of course. I can’t wait to share the backstory with my fans so that I can help encourage them to pursue their dreams.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
Humility
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
To come talk to me. I love meeting new people…if you talk to me too long I may have you doing Tik Toks with me lol.
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
Probably Billie Eilish! I love her!
Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?
It is so important because it connects you with your fans. It is a really important way to interact with everyone and keep everyone up to date on what you are doing.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
My biggest dream or goal is to use my singing talent to help make a difference in the lives of people who are struggling. I love to write songs that will encourage people, so my goal is to hopefully make a difference in the lives of others. It’s not to get rich and famous, I truly believe that my work here on earth is to uplift and encourage people with my talents.
Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for believing in me and most importantly thank you for encouraging me. Also a huge shout out to Ben Gatlin Music ( Ben, Tony and Bruce) for giving me a chance to perform locally to an amazing live band. I am so thankful for the many people who support me locally and a far!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this interview!
