Hey Blake! So excited to be chatting with you! Your new single “Best Of Me” is highly anticipated by your fans. How excited are you for all your supporters to hear your new song?

I’m so excited for everyone to hear “Best of Me”. It’s a very different lyrical theme to what people have heard from me so far and is very personal so I’m nervous but super keen for everyone to get to know me a bit deeper.

Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?

Yes “Best of Me” is pulled from a real experience. This song is about someone very close to me that has battled with drug addiction for a long time and how it’s been to watch that unfold. All the lyrics are very literally references to my life and the emotions that I have felt towards the subject throughout the years.

Do you have more new music coming in 2019? Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to?

Yes, I have a lot more music coming in 2019! Nothing specific to say but there will be some definite jams coming out as well as some more intimate songs.

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you write all your new songs?

Yes, I write and produce all my songs

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

It feels amazing! I waited a long time to be in the right situation and for my music to be at a point that I thought was solid enough to start putting it out into the world so now that I’m there, it’s an incredible feeling.

Are you releasing a music video along with your new single? If so, Can you tell us about the concept of the music video?

There may be a video down the track but nothing has been filmed as of yet.

What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I hope that people get the same feeling when listening to my music that I feel when creating it because words can’t describe how beautiful it is. I hope that people can relate these songs back to their own lives in some way and are able to use them to help get through whatever situation they’re dealing with and know that they’re not alone. I haven’t started playing shows yet but when it comes time to do that I really want everyone to feel like they can be exactly who they want to be without any judgement. There’s nothing I hate more than going to a show and someone or a group of people start making fun of you for whatever reason. I want people to feel free.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish

Growth

Have you ever been starstruck?

Not yet

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Probably Matty Healy

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social media is important for allowing people to get to know you. I think being able to hear someone’s music and then be able to connect that to who they are as a person is super important.

Also in an age where everyone is on their phones, being able to market yourself and your music in the space where everyone spends their time is obviously crucial.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest dream/goal is to play stadiums

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I want to say thank you so much for being there right from the very start. There’s so many different artists out there so the fact that you’re listening to MY music is so special to me, especially when it’s such early days. I can’t wait to tour and see everyone in person, it’s gonna be wild!
