Hey Apricity! So excited to be chatting with you! What brought on your love for music?
Thank you for chatting! I’d have to say my family as it started at a young age. I was exposed to a lot of different music growing up so it was a big part of life. From there it just grew and expanded.
How would you describe your sound?
I have been compared to a few different Artists, which is flattering. However I have my own sound. I would not compare myself to them but I would say I have a definite influence from them I may have fused genres together, not purposely but just a reflection of developing what I like. It is definite a twist of the 90s meeting up with today
What’s the most rewarding part of being an independent artist?
This is so new to me. It is amazing to think I only launched this single 2 months ago. I have an amazing support team and producer Tom McKay. There are ups and downs to being independent as I suppose similar if you are signed. In the end set on the path that is right for you.
Please tell us more about the new music that you have been working on. When was it written and how did the experiences of 2020 shape your newest musical endeavors?
My first single was written by Keith Varon who has had Billboard success and produced by Tom McKay who is platinum awarded and Juno Nominated. Right off the bat I have had the luck of working with successful talented people I started this right as the pandemic hit. However Tom worked hard helping me to get this song out and I followed up with Dropoutentertainment and Director Jesse Read to make the music video happen. Even though this was a very strange year I was able to meet and work with amazing people so I want to stay on the positive side of 2020. I am looking at launching my EP this spring and just getting ready to release the second single with music video. There have been many great experiences that came out of 2020 for me.
Where do you see yourself and your career in the next 2 years?
I hope touring I see myself continuing along this path. I am hoping I will be able to successfully tour, depending on the world situation. What matters is to be happy in what you are doing and to continue to grow and learn I have a willingness and commitment to improve myself.
What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment?
Releasing a single with music video during a pandemic! Definitely! It was my goal this year and I was able to accomplish it.
What one word would you use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
Surreal
