Going from their first performance together on a stage in front of 16,000 people to now touring in America for the first time with multi-talented artist Sabrina Carpenter, I could tell right away that New Hope Club was the real deal. When I met them, everything about them screamed boyband sensation. Their accents, their attitude, their voices all blended together perfectly. I can only imagine where the group will be in 5 years time, but I suspect them to be performing in front of their sold out audience at Madison Square Garden! I am so glad I got the opportunity to meet them before they blow up.

But how did this trio get to where they are today? With the Teen Choice Awards just around the corner, I thought it would be a great idea to find out more about the new British pop trio that has teen girls going crazy about them all around the world.

New Hope Club was formed in 2015 and originally only consisted of George Smith and Blake Richardson until Reece Bibby joined after his first group Stereo Kicks broke up. When they first formed the band, New Hope Club would post covers of Top Hits on their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFDfNKAgBon_SA6au4Wahmg

New Hope Club’s first recording was a cover of “Wake Up” by The Vamps in October 2015. A few months later, The Vamps discovered New Hope Club and signed the band to their label Steady Records. They were the second band signed to the label, after The Tide.

After signing with Steady Records, the trio didn’t want to waste anytime. They started the recording of their first EP right away. The EP was appropriately named  “Welcome To The Club” because of the trio’s name. It was then released on Hollywood Records via Steady Records on May 5, 2017.

The trio released two videos to promote the EP. The video for “Perfume” was released in January 2017, and the video for “Fixed” was released with their EP. The trio spent five weeks on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart, peaking at number 10 on June 10, 2017.

New Hope Club then got the huge accomplishment of being named one of the #NextWaveJuly artists on Musical.ly. Their hit song “Fixed” is a featured song in the #NextWaveJuly folder on Musical.ly. Many top musers are using their song to the hashtag! If that’s not enough, they also got nominated for Choice Next Big Thing!

With all the accomplishments they have already achieved you would think the bands been together for years, but they haven’t. This is only the beginning for them. In a few years time, every girl around the world will know their name and want to be apart of their club. So jump in now, before everyone else does 🙂
