Tuesday, March 7 – New York, NY: Today, Spotify sensation FLETCHER released the official music video for her new single, ‘Wasted Youth,’ which debuted on her Finding Fletcher, EP. The concept of the visual spawned from an unplanned collaboration between FLETCHER and her childhood friend Ryan Hutchins of Burnside Pictures, which resulted in capturing impromptu, intimate moments with iPhone footage in and around Los Angeles. Before naming FLETCHER “pop’s next breakout act,” V Magazine expressed that her rebel-anthem “can only be associated with the naiveté and optimism unique to Fletcher’s music,” with FLETCHER characterizing the ‘Wasted Youth’ as a live-in-the-moment attitude free of any perceived negative consequences, similar to that of one’s carefree youth. The precocious songstress intentionally interweaves home videos from her childhood throughout, in an effort to further personify this frame of mind. As instant gratification becomes the benchmark for this generation, rebelling against labels and the fluidity of human experiences is beautifully illustrated in this captivating love story.
