The epic video for “Dangerous” is dark, moody and impossibly sexy, the perfect visual to accompany this first single that fans have been waiting for.
A favorite on season 18 of NBC’s The Voice (2020), Arei channeled her inspiration from childhood musical icons for her audition and blew the judges away with her jaw-dropping performance of Kelly Clarkson’s “Miss Independent”. A battle happened between judges Nick Jonas and Kelly Clarkson for a chance to have Arei on their team. Arei chose team Jonas and went on to compete that season under his mentorship, cementing her place in the hearts of viewers thanks to her unwavering talent, and that visceral passion and hunger that has seen Arei chasing her dreams insatiably. Putting her soulful pop spin on songs from John Waite, Bruno Mars to her idol, Alicia Keys, she continuously stood out from the crowd.
The Voice may have opened the door for Arei, but it was just the start of her career. She returned to Orlando and has been focused on making her own music, all while keeping that connection she made as a contestant strong with both fans and industry alike. In a showing of hometown recognition and respect- Arei has repeatedly been invited by the NBA and the Orlando Magic as a frequent singer of the national anthem at home games and events. In late 2021, through an ironic chance encounter, she met her now business partner and co-founder of the independent label, Diamond Legacy Records where she is now signed as their first recording act. Arei’s been writing and working with some of the best producers and songwriting talent in LA and she says that that has allowed her to discover and cultivate her own unique sound- a sound that is innately hers and heavily influenced by R&B, Pop & Afropop.
