TMI: Hi Zofia, welcome to TMI. We are so excited to be chatting with you! Before we get started can you tell our readers about yourself and what you’ve been up to recently!

Thank you so much for having me! I’m Zofia Helena and I am an actress and dancer from Poland.

TMI: What got you into acting and dancing that made you realize that it was your chosen path?

To be honest, I realized it over quarantine. It was the time when everything slowed down and I started thinking about what I actually want to do with my life. I remember that when I was little me and my friend used to do little shows where we sang, danced and modeled, I remember, I thought to myself that this is what I really love and I really want to do it in the future. But then reality kinda came into my life and I forgot? But then quarantine happened and I started to think about my life, and the more I focused on what I like to do the more clear it became to me that this is my real passion.

TMI: What are some of your early performance experiences?

One of my earliest performance experience was when I was 5. In my ballet school it was mandatory to perform at the end of the year in the theater. It was always a story and every class performed a different scene. I remember my class choreographed frogs, I personally hated them, I mean the dresses were cute and the choreography was good but the gloves each of us had to wear were just outrageous.

TMI: You just attended iPOP! Los Angeles Summer 2024, how was that experience?

I had such a great time in Los Angeles at iPOP! I spent five days meeting some incredible like-minded people all with similar goals to me.

As an actress, I have learned the importance of networking and meeting new people. As well as how to manage auditions. How to approach agents, what to say, how to act. I have also learned how to better control emotions like stress before auditions, and to be more patient.

TMI: Tell us about your project ‘Robin Hood and his Merry Men’

This project was a musical theater production in Indiana of Robin Hood, the beloved story set in England. Under the rule of Prince John, fledgling hero Robin Hood is forced to relinquish his property after beating the Sheriff of Nottingham in an archery tournament. Robin forms a group of like-minded avengers to rise up against the taxes taken by Nottingham. Robin then tries to save King Richard from Austrian captivity by contributing to his ransom, but Prince John stands in the way of his plan, while Maid Marian is held hostage.

I was one of Robin’s very Merry Men!

TMI: Did you resonate at all with your character and why?

My character was very clumsy and deliberately silly. I try not to be, but it was fun to play that kind of role. I learnt comedic timing and working in an ensemble cast. As it was a comedy, we had a lot of fun on and off the stage.

For rehearsals we played Disney music to loosen up and get into character.

TMI: Can you tell us 5 fun things most people don’t know about you?

Hummm ok. I can juggle, I had my first “job” when I was 7 years old, I have never eaten a real hamburger in my life, I don’t like tomatoes, but I love tomato soup, and I am very superstitious!

TMI: How can people follow you?

I am mostly on Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/zofiaahelena

TMI: We love a little exclusive at TMI, before you go, what’s something you can’t live without?

Music and my emotional support lip balm!

TMI: Thanks so much, we look forward to seeing more from you!
