Hey Guys!! So excited to be chatting with you again. How’ve you been since last we spoke?

A: Hey! Thanks for having us, it’s been quite some time. We’ve been doing really well, focusing on recording and writing a lot. Been planning out the whole new wave of music to come for 2020 and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share it!

What did the success of your last single mean to each of you? Did you guys think it would be that big of a hit?

A: It meant so much. Releasing “Cross the Line” really helped to open doors for us in the industry and was a shifting point for what kind of music we want to make moving forward. Going into any release, you can’t really predict anything that will come out of it and how it will be received, but I remember that we had some great responses and even before it was out I had a good feeling about it and something was telling me it was the right time for that song.

After the success of your last single, you guys are back at it again with a new smash hit!! I absolutely love the new song!! How did you guys come up with the idea for “Tell Me”?

A: Glad you like it! It’s definitely been a while since we’ve released anything, needed to make sure we had the best follow up and everything had to be perfect before we rushed into putting anything out. The way the song was written was really different from our previous records. It all started with the chorus, then over the course of 4 days I finished writing and recording the whole thing based off of that chorus! We wanted to have this song include some retro elements but also keeping it modern and make it our own style, so we focused a lot on the production and trying to make it perfect.

Any fun moments while creating the song?

A: There actually was this one time when we were recording gang vocals and our drummer was experimenting with ad libs and this one take he had done just sounded super cool so we threw it in throughout the whole song in short clips here and there. It’s so low in the mix so you can barely hear it but it adds a really cool element in the background, something we never would have normally thrown in.

What’s your friends’ thoughts on the new song?

A: So far, everybody seems to like it! We had a release party for “Tell Me” on the day it came out and got to chat with some of our friends about what they thought of the song and all of them said it was their favourite one we’ve released so far. That was really cool for us because some of our friends listen to such different music than what we normally make but still vibed with it, so it was reassuring to know they liked the track.

Are there any other projects in the works you guys can tell us about?

A: Yep! We haven’t announced it yet, but we’ll be releasing a music video for “Tell Me” pretty soon. Just finished filming the final part of footage we needed and are so excited to share it. It’s sort of our first music video for a full studio track so it was a different experience for us, but it was such a great time and we learned a lot. We’ll also be releasing more music in the next few months, following “Tell Me” with a few new singles and some of the other pieces we’ve been working on as well!

Do you plan on touring in 2020?

A: Definitely! We have some shows booked right now at festivals across Canada for this summer, so we’re really looking forward to those. Additionally, we’re chatting with our team about heading to play some festivals throughout the U.S. so that’s all sort of in the works right now, really hoping to lock down on some key shows and so excited to hit the stage again!

What impact do you want to leave on the music world?

A: We want to positively impact people across the world. Our main goal is to use our music to connect and influence others, not just in the music industry but in anything they do. Often you can listen to a song and instantly relate or paint a picture in your head and play it like a movie, that’s exactly what we want to do with our music. Even with our new single, it’s a super relatable feeling that so many people go through in any relationship and already we’ve been lucky enough to connect with people and hear their stories about how they related to it. Moving forward that’s what we’re really chasing, and hope this whole new wave is able to keep putting us in touch with new fans.

What goals have you guys set out for the band this year?

A: For this year, we are trying to get as much of our new music out as we can. Since our last release, we’ve learned a lot about ourselves as musicians and have focused on writing and recording music that’s true to us and that we feel great about, so releasing as much as we can is our biggest goal for the whole year. Playing live is something we haven’t done as much recently, so having the opportunity for this summer festival tour and all of the shows is something we definitely want to do more of. When you’re performing and singing along with the audience, it really brings light to the songs and is an unbelievable feeling, so performing more frequently this year is one of our top priorities.

Do you guys have any last things you want to tell your fans?

A: We just want to say thank you so much for everything you do. Whether it’s posting on social media about us, coming to our shows and even just listening to our music, it means the world to us and we are so thankful to have all of you join us on this journey. Going into this new wave of music in 2020, we’re looking forward to sharing everything we’ve been working on and can’t wait to continue on this path together with all of you.

Thank you guys for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer these questions.

Thank you again so much for chatting with us, as always it’s a great time and look forward to speaking again soon!
