Actor and model Rida Makhany has been modelling and representing different notable brands. So far, she has modeled for Michael Kors during flight week hosted by Macy’s and also been on the runway for Macy’s prom week and back-to-school events. AS an actor, Rida has been training with NYLA Talent in preparation for her upcoming showcase at iPOP! in Los Angeles.

What have you enjoyed so far in your training with NYLA Talent?
I’ve really enjoyed my acting classes with NYLA Talent. They’ve given me the chance to improve my acting skills and gain confidence in front of the camera. Connor Wells is fantastic, always providing insightful feedback and pushing me to do my best. The community of fellow actors is also very supportive, and I’ve made some great friends. Overall, the experience has been incredibly rewarding and has helped me grow both personally and professionally.
Have you chosen a monologue and what is it?

Ummm, did you have a lobotomy for breakfast? You’re wearing my signature color!
Cheryl: I could care less if you think it looks good on you because it doesn’t, not at Riverdale High at least Here, I invented red. I am red.
Cheryl: Sorry, but this school is not big enough for the both of us, u faux-pink lady. And I was here first. Go to Centerville High or Westerberg, I don’t care. But you have until first bell Monday to clear every trace of yourself. Ok

What got you into modeling (and acting) that made you realize that it was your chosen path?
I got into modeling because when I was younger, I always watched runway shows and thought they looked really fun. I was obsessed with taking pictures, doing my own makeup and hair, and being creative with my style. My parents noticed this passion from when I was four, and it grew into something more over time. That’s when I realized modeling was the right path for me.
Has there been one particular moment so far that you’re most proud of?
Getting the opportunity to go to iPOP in January 2025 is definitely a moment I’m really proud of. It’s such a big step in my journey, and I’m super excited about it!
What would be your ideal job?
My ideal job would be in the entertainment industry, specifically in commercial print modeling. I love the idea of being part of campaigns and advertisements that reach a wide audience and creatively showcase different products and brands.

What is one piece of advice you live by – right now?
Here’s a profound quote for you: “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” – Rumi. This quote delves into the idea that sometimes our deepest struggles can be where we find our greatest strength and enlightenment.
If you could have one superpower in real life, what would it be and why?
If I could have one superpower, it would be the ability to heal others. Being able to help people recover from injuries and illnesses would make a huge positive impact on their lives and bring a lot of joy and relief to those in need.

“Sure! Your thoughtfulness shines through in everything you do. Your charisma makes you a natural leader and someone people love to be around. Your creativity brings fresh ideas and fun into every situation, and your sense of humor always lightens the mood. All these qualities together make you truly special”
Have you traveled outside the USA and if so, where?
Outside of the USA I’ve been to Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and Pakistan

5) I try and make any dull moment fun, whether it’s a family gathering or a study session.
Do you play any sports?
Every summer I play volleyball with my friends, and I have been inline skating for almost 12 years now.
What’s your favorite snack?
Frozen fruit roll ups.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Unhygienic people.

The dark.
