“We set the music video in an old family diner – a place where every kind of story walks through the door. Savanna plays a waitress who can see the nametags people are wearing, and suddenly you notice the person smiling and laughing while wearing “heartbreak” on their chest,” Mat Shaw shared. “That display of honesty really hits home. When we see each other clearly, empathy gets easier, and the room fills up with a little more grace.”
Written by Leslie Satcher and Michael Heeney, “Hello My Name Is” reminds listeners that every name carries a story, and that compassion has the power to unite people in a world that is oftentimes marked by division. Discussing the inspiration behind the song, Savanna Shaw said, “I love how it holds happy and lost in the same line, because that’s honest.
