Alfie Hart Jr. is an energetic sixth grader who loves sports. When the promising basketball player from Brunswick, Georgia, found his voice on the mic, he was hanging out in his dad’s music studio. He shocked the entire family. It wasn’t because he was shy, it was due to the fact the then nine-year-old “Lil Alfie” was an avid athlete who kept his head in his books when he wasn’t on the courts. His budding music artistry was a welcome discovery considering his dad Alfonso Hart Sr. and uncle Joseph Hart are the founders of the family entertainment company: H&H Entertainment.

Here, the 11-year-old tells readers who inspires his music, what we can expect from him this summer and meeting LL Cool J.

Where did your love of music come from?

My love for music came from listening to other artists. Hearing them share their thoughts in their music inspired me and I decided it was something I wanted to do too. One day my dad asked me, “Do you want to rap?” I quickly told him “Yeah” because it’s fun. The more I got into it, the more I started loving it.

Do you have any release plans for summer 2020?

Yes. My new singles are “Social Distance” and “Eleven,” which is all about the culture and where I am in my music career. I’m 11-years-old. I have an iPhone 11 and a throwback jersey bearing the number 11. I wear Retro Air Jordan 11s. You can find me rocking all my music on Instagram and IG Live. YouTube, Facebook and streaming platforms liked Apple music and Pandora.

What’s been your reaction to the fans’ anticipation for your new music?

They love it a lot. In the comments, they say it’s good and they want more new releases.

How excited are you to get this music out into the world?

It means everything to me to share my creativity, what’s on my mind and my gifts.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I hope they will be encouraged and entertained enough to dance to it.

How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?

I want to stay connected to them. They are a huge part of the reason why I do this. My fans motivate, inspire and keep me going. I love being creative and getting into the studio. I don’t want them to get bored. I will consistently drop more music because it’s what they want.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I love to entertain with my music and play basketball. I get good grades in school.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

I’m confident and I like to have conversations. And, I care about them.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I want my fans to stay positive. I want them to know they can achieve anything they want to do and to remember to have fun doing it.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Determination.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

NBA YoungBoy is the first one I want to meet. I’ve been listening to him since I was younger. He has been my favorite rapper for a while. I would ask him to get my music so he can check it out because he’s the one who inspired me to get to where I am today.

What was it like going on live with LL Cool J the other day!?!

When I went live with LL Cool J, it felt great. I was connected to a legend in music. He listened to my music. He asked questions that made me think. He encouraged me to remain positive and to never give up on my dreams. My mom is a big fan of his.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social Media is a way for me to get my music out there. With it, my music can reach many different people – a kid, a man, a woman – people can find me even if they are in Los Angeles or Miami or another country and it could lead to other opportunities.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

Finish school. My biggest dream is to be an NBA player and a pop star. I currently play point guard and shooting guard. Because of the quarantine, I rank my game right now as a 7 or 8, while my music game is on 10 right now.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
