Hey Trenten!! So excited to be chatting with you. How have you been during this crazy time? Can you spill any fun tips to keep your supporters happy and productive during this time at home?
I have been great!! I’ve been able to create more content. I would like everyone to know that this too shall pass. But now is not the time to worry! Now is the time to focus on your inner self, because now we finally have the time to think a little bit.
Did you have a breakout song that started things with you and your supporters?
I would say the song “On the Edge” I did with Madchild. He is from Canada and has a large fan base there. I realized my Canadian fan base had increased to 25% after we did the song and music video.
Can you tell us what that song meant to you?
On the Edge actually has a very important message for the listeners and myself really. It’s about living life on the edge aka to the FULLEST EXTENT!
How did the song come about?
I was living in Kelowna , British Columbia and I met this guy named Matt Bhird who owns Ok Valley Entertainment, I saw the seriousness of this guy when I met him. He told me he could get me on a song with Madchild and it happened a couple days later! Ok Valley Entertainment also recorded the music video as well.
What was your reaction to the fans’ love for your new song “Work For It featuring Los Angeles rapper N7”?
Well my fans actually made a #workforitchallenge where they use the song and upload a quick clip on social media. It promotes working out at home while being quarantined!
How excited were you to get this song out into the world?
You have no idea… I haven’t released too many rap tracks but I knew this one would snap! And N7 completely killed his verse.
What’s up next for you? Do you have any other release plans for 2020?
Yes I already have my next release ready to be submitted on June 18th and will be releasing a new single on the 18th of every month this year in 2020.
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?
I plan to release songs in multiple genres so that I can reach listeners of all types. I think my fans will be very excited for this!
How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?
I want them to always know the real Trenten Priest. I have struggled and now I’m up, and I really think my fans can relate to that.
What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?
It is very important to always remember that this is YOUR world and you should always continue to grow and show love to others around you.
What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
I’m actually 100% Vegan! I haven’t ate any animal products in over a year and I feel great!
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
Don’t be scared to ask for pictures! I always see you guys shaking and nervous but please remember I’m just like you!
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
LOVE IS THE KEY! I want my fans to see that my success comes from spreading love and positivity to this world.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
SUCCESS my fans mean everything to me because without them I wouldn’t be where I am now.
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
I would love to meet Travis Scott, he’s a very inspirational person to me. He came from the ground just like me and continues to grow his brand in all ways.
Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?
I think social media is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT I reach over 50,000 people a month from social media alone and it’s all done from my phone.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
My top industry goal is to have at least 3 number one hits in 3 different genres!
