Where did the inspiration for the song come from?

Every project I have released has had a color theme to it depending on what mood I am feeling in my life. Writing my EP, I felt very emotional and blue. I decided to make a song that was out of my comfort zone and truly just state what the project is about as a whole which is the theme of overcoming depression, fear, and self doubt.

Any fun moments while creating/recording the song?

Yes! I had 3 of my musician friends play instruments on this tune which was a lot of fun!  I also live in an apartment in Brooklyn with a ton of older neighbors who are very sweet but super quiet. I recorded this song in my home studio and literally had to belt at the top of my lungs during some parts and would wait during weird times of the day hoping no one was home. My neighbor told me a couple days after I recorded the song that he liked my lyrics. I was so embarrassed but it was funny as well.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope they will honestly feel relief as well knowing they are not alone. Unfortunately depression is a common thing. It helps to know others have also gotten through this rough time as well and I want this single to be therapy.

What’s the process of writing one of your songs?

I have two main processes. One is I find a instrumental I like online and freestyle to it and then come up with chords and present my song to a producer to make it come to life. The second approach is I witness or experience something and write it almost as a story or vent in my iphone notes and create a song around it.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I just want to tell my supporters that if I could get through a hard time so can they. We are not alone and it is important to always embrace who you are.
