What made you want to become a musician?
I wanted to become an artist/musician right when I discovered how it connects to everyone personally around the world. It truly is such a blessing to have something like that in our lives. I think it is so awesome how music can make you feel so many emotions and heal. My goal with my music career is to make an impact on people and hope they relate to my words.
What do you enjoy most about playing and creating music?
I enjoy seeing how my music makes others feel. I love the feeling of creating my own music into anything I want it to be, but at the end of the day, nothing beats seeing others love my music.
What is the best piece of advice another musician ever gave you?
I’d have to say that the best advice I’ve ever been given from a musician is to not lose yourself being the person everyone expects you to be
What sets your music apart from others?
I think that what sets my music apart from others is my tone. I have been told I have a distinct, soulful, and sultry sound.
You just released your debut single “Fallin”! What does this single mean to you?
It means a lot more to me than a lot of people would think. I wrote Fallin’ a few months back about someone in my life who is very special. This person completely changed my life and made me realize that what I felt before wasn’t real love. This song is about finding that first real love and knowing that It was something different.
What do you hope your supporters will get from hearing your debut single?
I hope that when people hear my single, they are reminded of someone they love/loved. I want it to cause them to reflect on the first time they met this person and how pure that love was.
Are there any musicians/artists that you admire? What qualities do you admire most about them?
I have a long list of musicians/artists that have inspired me throughout the years. If I had to narrow it down, I would say, Chris Stapelton, Stevie Nicks, Kacey Musgraves, and Dolly Parton. I admire Chris Stapelton’s powerful voice, Stevie’s unique tone, Kacey’s beautiful high notes, and Dolly’s songwriting ability. Along with that, all of these artists seem real to me. They are true to themselves and I look up to that.
