Can you start off by telling our readers a little bit about yourself?

I’m originally from NYC, but I now split my time between San Francisco and LA. I’ve always been fascinated by music and how it can create such profound emotions in people, so I took up piano and guitar at age eight. After that, singing just came naturally. I also love to spray paint but my friends agree I should stick to singing…

Your newest single “Whatever” comes out on the 10th! How did “Whatever” get created?

I was writing in the studio, and my manager played me the original record. I loved it immediately and knew that it was a hit. It’s a fresh and new sound but still catchy at the same time.

The music video also it being released!! How did the idea for the music video come about?

I wanted to do something different that made a statement. GAB3, the director, was the genius behind the video, and together I think we made something that we’re both proud of. We collaborated on the original concept but made up some scenes when shooting too!

Any fun moments on set?

The video was a blast to shoot. We didn’t rely too heavily on a shot list meaning that most of it was actually real and unplanned. I just went around LA doing fun things. Shooting the pizza scene at the end was really funny because my friend spilling the cheese was real.

How do you feel about the music video?

The video came out better than I had imagined! My whole team and I worked super hard in anticipation, but it ended up being a great video that fits the song perfectly.

Why is music so important in your life?

Music allows me to relate to and hopefully impact people on a large scale. Watching fans all over the world connect to something I created is an amazing feeling which fuels me to continue to write.

What message do you want to send your supporters through your music?

I hope to inspire confidence in my listeners and remind them that nobody else can tell them what they can’t be.

Whats most important in your life right now?

Honing my skills as a musician. I practice every day and am constantly working on new songs and ideas for future records.
