Hey Sophia!! So excited to be chatting with you! What inspired you to pursue music?

When I was young, I always loved singing. I would sing Hannah Montana songs, It’s A Small World, and even Mexican songs.  Hannah Montana was a huge part of me wanting to sing. Watching her character on the show really inspired me. Hannah Montana was kind to her friends and enjoyed singing to crowds of people to make them happy. In my head I thought what if I could also make a difference in peoples lives by singing.

How would you describe your musical style?

My musical style is Pop mixed with some R&B vibes.

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Kind, fun, sweet, relatable, hard working

What artists do you look up to right now?

The top two artists would have to be Khalid, he’s so cool and he’s music is so chill, and also Billie Ellish. She is killing it right now, she’s so young and works so hard. Her music is so different from anything I’ve ever heard.

You just released your end of summer pop anthem “Beside Me”! What does this song mean to you?

This song is one of my favorites that I’ve ever written because it’s real and has an important message behind it. So many teenagers in my grade feel like they need a boyfriend or someone beside them, but you don’t need someone beside you all the time. Just be yourself and have fun!

What has been your reaction to all the success the new single has gotten?

It blows my mind each and everyday! It means the world to me that people are listening to this song. I couldn’t thank the fans or God enough, I’m beyond blessed. My producer C-Ray called me and was like Sophia you just hit 80,000 streams and I just freaked out, I couldn’t believe it.

Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists today?

Social media is super important because it’s a platform that allows me to communicate with my supporters and also allows me to share my music with them. I feel like social media has created this environment for artists and fans to have a more personal relationship and see what each other does on a regular day. I love social media it’s so much fun. But I also think it is important to live in the real world as well and not get completely wrapped up in what is happening online.

With a massive following already your supporters must have a name for themselves. Does your fan base have a name?

Honestly, not yet, I need to come up with one haha. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions, this needs to happen soon 😉

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I love talking to my supporters they’re so sweet. One of my favorite things to do is go live and just talk to them and sing for them. I hope the relationship I build with my supporters is more of a friendship with each and every one of them.

What’s the feeling you get when meeting your supporters?

It’s honestly supper cool meeting my supporters! I just wish I could meet all of them and give them all hugs. It’s really cool knowing that there are people out in the world who support me and it makes me excited to get back in the studio and keep working on new music for them.

Any other fun things in the works you can tell us about?

I’m actually working right now on a new song that’s in Spanish and in English. I grew up speaking both languages at home, so I’m so excited to share that part of me in a song.

What’s an average day for you look like right now?

I’m in school right now, so a normal day for me is walking up early and going to school like the rest of the world. Whenever I get out of school, I write lyrics for song ideas, sing, and occasionally I have some phone meetings. It is really important to me to still go to school, see my friends, and have a “normal” teenage life (as much as possible).

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you to each and every one of you for listening to my song and supporting me. I love you all so much and I can’t wait for many more exciting things to come.

Thanks For Taking The Time To Do This Interview 🙂
