Hey Shayna!! So excited to be chatting with you.

I am so honored and excited to be chatting with YOU guys!

Do you have any release plans for 2020?

Yes, I will be releasing at least two singles before the year is over and I am constantly sharing IG-IG posts! Instant Gratification Instagram posts where I perform original songs and share them with fans exclusively on my Instagram account @theshaynarose.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I hope they’ll be pleasantly surprised that it’s not entirely what they might be expecting. I hope it will be a new kind of musical journey for them where they deeply relate to the lyrics. I never write a song that isn’t a true story about my life. Everything you hear is my journal, something that actually happened to me.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I genuinely want to create a friendship. I try and respond to everyone who messages me on social media, and I want my fans to feel as supported by me as I am by them. A lot of fans watched me when they were little and now they’re basically adults. I hope they looked to me for insight and inspiration then and that they can do the same now but in a deeper and even more real way.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

Growing up, I was never popular and I was severely bullied. It made me a loner in many ways. I think so many of us feel isolated in this world, like we don’t “really” fit in even when we are trying to. I guess I want everyone to know that we will all feel better if we just give ourselves and others the permission to be who we really are. That’s the best gift in the world.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

I love meeting people and I’m super approachable. I love chatting with fans and getting to know them. If you see me, don’t be shy! Say, hi!

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

Our whole lives people tell us what to be and how to act. Even if they have the best intentions, many of the messages we get limit what we believe we are capable of. I just want you all to know that you are limitless! Capable of anything and everything you imagine. You have my permission to ignore everyone else and reach for your biggest goals. I had to stop listening to a lot of people to accomplish the things I’ve done in my life. Give yourself permission to block out the noise and be your own cheerleader. Also, support each other. Put love and acceptance out into the world. Together, we are creating a beautiful new future for ourselves and each other.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Heard.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

I consider social media to be a very useful tool because it allows me to create a personal relationship with my fans. But as you’ll see me say often, social media is not for everyone, and we have to be careful who we follow and how they’re influencing us. Too many artists are on social media just to gain followers, and become rich and famous. They put out an image of who they are and their lives that’s not real, and that can make the rest of us have major FOMO and cause terrible anxiety. If you follow me, I hope it makes you feel happier and inspires you, if not, don’t follow me. Mental and emotional health is most important.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

Finding and developing young talent to work with while I continue to release my own music. I’ve started my own mini label and I can’t wait for it to explode one day!

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Enjoy every moment. Truly. Each day is a blessing. Live your life to the fullest and keep finding the courage everyday to be who you are.

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us 🙂

Thank you so much for having me!
