Hey Savanté!! So excited to be chatting with you. You just released your new single, “Find A Way” off your upcoming EP!! Can you tell us what this song is about?

Hey guys, thanks for having me. Yes, I’d love to. “Find A Way” is very lighthearted and yet, very meaningful. I always viewed life as having simple solutions to big problems. Be creative. If you don’t know what to do, just do something and you’ll find a way.

Can you tell us what this project means to you? How excited are you to get this new EP out into the world?

It may sound sweet, but it took a lot of grit to make it all work. The EP is fresh, nothing else out like it right now. I’m so excited for people to finally hear it, it’s more than I can anticipate. The reaction so far has been beyond what I’d expected.

What’s been your reaction to the fans love & anticipation for your new project?

It’s really exciting and humbling. It’s really part of something bigger than just myself. I write everything with them in mind.

Do you have a favorite song off the EP?

My favorite song off of the EP is “Freed.” That will be next. It’s very organic and honest and has a powerful message to it.

Did you help write all your new songs?

I do. I co-write, produce and arrange. I’m there from idea to release. The other writers I got to work with are responsible for major pop hits, so it wouldn’t be what it is without them.

What’s your songwriting process?

No process is ever the same. If I open my mouth and just randomly sing, it will come out, I can’t think about it. Or sometimes, someone will play a tune or say a word and then it just happens. It’s a phenomenon I cannot explain.

What’s up next for you after the release of this EP? A tour maybe? … a virtual tour?

We’ll see where touring is after all of this. Right now, we’re getting such a great reaction from the music, we’ll keep writing. I plan to create some great videos and gear up for a full-length album.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

Well, obviously, I hope they love it and are inspired by it. I feel all the same emotions as everyone else, so I just write what I feel at that given time. I believe in what I write and that’s what translates at the end of the day.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I love to be with them as much as I can, I’d love for us to be a family. I want to support them, lift them up, they’re the reason I do this.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

My proudest moment is when I adopted my dog, Prince, from a kill shelter in East LA. I promised him he’d always be safe and a lifetime supply of chicken. So far, I’ve held my end of the bargain.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

Always say hi and share what you’re up to.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I want them to walk away feeling like anything is possible. Just trust yourself and work smart.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Magic

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

I’d love to meet Ed Sheeran.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

It’s incredible. You can reach almost anyone at any time. It’s made everything so much more personal. I just hope that they see what’s real.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

To retire my family.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Please make what you want to do a reality. Now is the time more than ever. Pivot and find a way.

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us 🙂
