Hey Caetano! So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your new single “Commands” & it’s awesome! How excited are you that this song is finally out into the world?

Hi Ainsley, I am exited to be chatting with you as well. Commands is a song I wrote in one of my darkest moments, and I felt a little uncomfortable releasing it at first. But the best songs are written from the strongest emotions, and I realized that my favorite artists helped me relate to their songs, so I hope I can do that for my listeners.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope some people can relate and take comfort in knowing someone else feels the same. I hope others can tap their feet and sing along with it 🙂

Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?

Over time I started to sleep less and less and lay in my bed awake later and later. This was caused by anxiety I felt when I would try to sleep, It felt like my mind was awake and running all over the place while my body could barely move. Eventually, I decided to write a song about it and came up with commands. The first metaphor I thought of was the shadows by your bed at night that everyone used to be scared of, haunting my sleep.

You also have more music coming out in 2020!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you the rest of the year?!?

They can look forward to a bunch more songs in the near future. The next song will be a bit of light in the darkness 😉

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?

I write the lyrics, piano, and melody of all my songs. I do not write the drums, bass, or guitar but I do have a say on how they turn out.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

I have been releasing songs since a young age, and it is cool to have people that like it. I always wanted a group of people that relate to my music, and feel what I feel, and I am starting to get that.

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video

There will not be a music video for the upcoming song, but I do plan on making music videos in the future.

What’s been the pros and cons of pursuing your music career?

Pros have been writing the songs, producing the songs, and having an audience. A con has been the lack of experience with social media to promote my music.

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

I haven’t gotten to many places yet lol, I just started advertising my music. But I do want to thank my drummer, bass/guitarist, my parents, and my friend Joseph Liebow for designing the cover arts for my singles.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

There is always a way to express yourself, through art, music, dance, anything. As long as you have an outlet any problem you have can be faced.

Are you planning any IG Live shows to promote your new music?

I wasn’t planning on it but that sounds like a cool idea! I should think about that 🙂

Are you excited to start performing your own music live!?!

Extremely. I hope this horrible virus can end soon, so I can do concerts in person.

What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?

There is always an outlet

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I have been writing and playing my own music since the piano arrived in the house. I think I was about 4 years old.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Expression

What do your fans call themselves? And How did that fanbase name catch on?

My listeners lol. I do not have much of a fanbase yet, so my audience doesn’t really have a name.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

I am nowhere near famous, but if someone recognizes me I would love to have a chat with them!

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet/work with?

Yes. Tyler Joseph from Twenty Øne Pilots. He inspired me to write my own songs and publish them. His music has guided me through bad times and even made good times better, he is my biggest inspiration. I went to a Twenty One Pilots concert once and that is when I realized I wanted to go on tour, that is when I realized I wanted to have my own unique audience. The energy was explosive, the speakers were blasting, the crowd was yelling, and Tyler was in the middle of it all. And I found my group of people, and I hope my music can do that for it’s listeners.

What’s your current go-to song?

Lemmon Boy by Cavetown. Cavetown is another one of my favorite artists, and I feel at home when listening to his songs as well. Lemmon Boy was the first Cavetown song I listened to and the moment I listened to it, I knew it was my favorite song. I would NEVER skip Lemmon Boy if it came on.

Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists like yourself?

Social media can be used to advertise and create a community around you music, for teenager especially since we all live in our phones

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

To go on tour, for as long as I can remember.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you guys for helping me start my career, new songs on the way 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions 🙂

Thank you so much for this interview!
