Hey Elle! So excited to be chatting with you again!! How excited are you that your new single “Thought of Me” is finally out into the world?

Hey guys!! I am so excited to release this song. It’s super special to me because it’s very reflective and confessional. I feel like many people will connect with its message so I look forward to putting it out and performing it live!

Where did the inspiration for the song come from?

I was inspired to write this song because I wanted to write a song that speaks to self acceptance. I am learning how to be more accepting of every aspect of myself and portraying each facet of me honestly to those in my life and online to my fans and followers. In my music, I have grown so comfortable in being open and honest about my experiences, thoughts , opinions and feelings, but in my life and on social media I would find myself not being as open. I noticed that this manicured presentation actually affected my relationships and my life.

Any fun moments while creating/recording the song?

Yes! The producers of the track, The Jam, happened to have a puppy and we actually went into the studio a few times to get this song right and playing with this dog was the most fun! But also, The Jam is so talented and wonderful to work with!

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope the message resonates with them and they carry it with them in their lives as well!

What’s the process of writing one of your songs?

It definitely depends on the session! Sometimes I come into the studio with a concept and other times I let the energy in the room guide my concept and bring out feelings I have or allow me to pull on different experiences.

Where did your love of music come from?

I’ve honestly always loved singing and listening to music. My mom says I started singing and talking at the same time. I grew up listening to artists like Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, the Black Eyed Peas. I remember I would record karaoke over their cassette tapes!

Will there be a music video for your new single?

Potentially… 🙂

Any other fun projects in the works you can tell us about?

I have a bunch of holiday shows coming up and more music coming out at the top of the year!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I am excited to release new music for you guys and thank you for welcoming my past releases so graciously. I so appreciate all of the support!
