Hey Elle! So excited to be chatting with you! Can you tell us a little bit about you?

Hey guys! Me too, thanks for having me! I am a 20-year-old pop singer and songwriter from New York City! I recently put out three singles from my upcoming project under Sony’s RED MUSIC record label and I am looking forward to releasing my debut EP this fall!

Where did your love of music come from?

I’ve always loved music! My mom says I was singing and talking at the same time. I grew up singing and recording karaoke over my pop queen idols like Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears and they really set an example for me and made me feel confident to pursue a similar path.

What artists do you look up to right now?

I love Ed Sheeran, particularly for his brilliant songwriting. I also love Bruno Mars, I really look up to him as a performer; he has such an infectious and amazing energy on stage and on his records.

You just released your new single “Cave In” off your forthcoming debut EP! How excited are you that this song is finally out into the world?!

Yes! I am beyond excited. This song has held such a special place in my heart since the moment I wrote and recorded it. It is so incredible to me that this record is out for other people to connect with.

Can you tell us about what this song means to you?

Cave In” is a very important song to me because it articulates a concept I wanted to touch on for a while. Basically, at the end of relationships it is often tempting to get back together with an ex because being alone is unfamiliar. But personally, I find that most relationships are right for a particular moment of time in your life and it is better to leave that untouched and in the past, rather than revisit something that didn’t work. So this song is basically thanking an ex for not asking for a second chance, because we weren’t really right for each other.

You are also gearing up for the release of your upcoming EP!! How excited are you to get this project out into the world?

I am super excited! This project is a deep insight into who I am, not only as an artist but as a person. I am honest and open in my music and I hope that in doing so I can connect with listeners and create a sense of solidarity and community through our shared experiences.

Any fun moments while creating the EP?

Ah, there were so many fun moments along the way! I particularly loved the good vibes and energy The Orphanage—the producers of the project—brought to each session. We had so much fun working on each song, after we wrote and recorded my single “Do You” we literally had a dance party in the studio, haha!

What song are you most excited to perform from this new EP?

I am most excited to perform and release my forthcoming single “Yeah No”! I actually have performed it a bit on some tour dates and people have really resonated with its message. After shows, people will DM me that they connected with this song in particular actually. So I am excited to continue to perform it and release it to the world!

What does it feel like to perform your own music live in front of your supporters?

It’s so fulfilling. It is incredible that music can reach so many people and fans via streaming services and other outlets, but the feeling of singing my songs on stage and seeing people enjoy and feel my words and my melodies is truly an irreplaceable experience!

Are you planning to tour to promote this EP?

Yes! I have several performances coming up and am looking forward to a potential tour this winter!

How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?

The people who support my music are so close to my heart. I am open and honest through my music in the hopes of creating these mutual strong connections to let the people who support me know they have an ally in me and that I am a supporter of theirs as well!

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?

I’d say that my craziest fan encounters are always when a fan of mine will have made me something. It’s crazy in the sense that some of these gifts are so creative and beautiful and it blows my mind that someone can make them from scratch! I am artistic musically but that’s where it ends haha! I had a fan make me a beautiful hand painted canvas of pictures with my lyrics. It was stunning!

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

I am most active on Instagram (@ElleWinter) and Twitter (@ElleWinterX).

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

I am in talks for some exciting acting opportunities that I am excited to share more about soon!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Mainly just a big thank you to everyone who listens to my music and follows my journey, I can’t wait to release more music and perform it for you all so soon!
