Hey Amanda!

Hi. Thank you for this chance to share my music and story!

Of course we are so excited to be chatting with you!! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’ve been making up songs as long as I’ve been able to talk, but started writing them down at 9yo.  Music has always been a part of my life, and performing is one of my favorite things to do. I first performed an original at 13 at Lake Junaluska on a youth group retreat.  It confirmed that music is my calling.

Where did your love of music come from?

I was born with it, but my mom loved all types of music, especially Motown.  Both parents listened to country music, which is definitely what I listened to the most as a kid.  Eventually, I branched out! I had the opportunity to perform with singing, dancing groups at a young age, such as Sunshine Generation, which helped fuel my love of performing and I’m sure helped my stage presence.

What artists do you look up to right now?

I will always look up to great entertainers, such as Garth Brooks, Reba, Pink, etc. I really love artists who put on a great show! Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert are all a little rebellious, which is something I’ve always been drawn to musically.

You just released your new single “Six String Showdown”! How excited were you to get this project out into the world?!?

Six String is such a fun song! I call it a “future classic rock” song!  I’m really excited for the world to embrace it! Dave Isaacs and Randall Scott Peterson wrote it with me and they are killer guitar players!!!! The music video is coming soon!

Can you tell us what this song means to you?

Six String gave me a chance to write a really cool rocking tune with two of the best guitar players I know; Randy, my guitar player (Almost Angels member) of 9 years, and Dave Isaacs, the “Nashville Guitar Guru” aka my guitar teacher and close friend.

It is pretty awesome to get to feature such awesome musicians.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope they will enjoy jamming to it!  I encourage any young guitar players to try and learn the lead guitar parts!  Also, it’s good for all artists to remember how important each band member is!

Randy, his sister Sherry Peterson-Tenille (bass) & her twin bro Shawn Peterson (drums) have had a great influence on our sound, and I am so thankful to call the Almost Angels my band family!

Any fun moments while creating the song?

The whole studio experience at The NuttHouse Recording studio in the Muscle Shoals area was magical! It was great having Dave come to the studio to lay his part down… And having legendary keys player Spooner Oldham on the “Front Porch Rebel” album and in the studio just added to the magic!

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so can you spill any details about it?

Yes!!!!! The lyric video is out, and the official music video is in the final editing stages!  The coolest thing is the video was produced/directed by a film student at Lipscomb University for one of her senior projects!  It’s great to work with up and coming directors!!!!

What other release plans do you have for 2020?

Well, we will be releasing a music video for last summer’s single Carolina Coast! The video was part of an editing competition by film students! I had the honor of watching the top 6 edits and picking the best one! The students did an amazing job!!!! It’s pretty cool to be a part of their real-world learning!!!!!

Also, we’ve picked the next single, which is a very raw emotion, powerful song…I can’t reveal everything… Stay tuned!!!!

What do you hope your supporters will think from hearing your new music?

My mission is to “create and execute authentic musically experiences people can deeply feel.”

I truly believe the Front Porch Rebel album has something for everyone.  We were extremely thoughtful in picking songs that sparked emotion, whether fun and rocking, thought provoking, sweet and sassy, sultry and playful, raw and honest, etc. My hope is that supporters can truly “feel the music”, not just hear it!

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

Right now, Instagram is probably my top, then my Facebook page. IG & Twitter: amandapcornett Facebook.com/amandapagecornettmusic

I also interact via my website www.amandapagecornett.com

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you!  During this crazy time of social distancing, please continue to listen to and buy music!  Many musicians are without their livelihood until this covid-19 madness is over, but always remember musicians are creating the background of our world!  The more amazing people support us, the more we can create and give back to the world!!!!!

Thank you for this opportunity to share my story!!!
