What inspired you to pursue music?
I was inspired to pursue music when I was growing up singing in choir in elementary school. Throughout my middle school and high school years I kept up with practicing and playing music with also being involved in sports until I turned 19 I wanted to take it seriously. I started flying back and forth from Phoenix to Nashville working in an artist development program called PCG in 2017 where I was honing and progressing my songwriting/performing skill set to be where I’m at now.
How would you describe your musical style?
My musical style has a Soft Pop feel to it, which can lead me to exploring other genres in the industry.
What artists do you look up to right now?
The artists that I look up to now are Coldplay, OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, James Bay, and John Mayer.
What is your favorite thing to do in your career? And why? – recording, music video shoots, performing, etc.
I would say that a combination of those activities are my favorite because they all take a preparation in advance to be focused and in tune for what I look to accomplish in those sessions. I love songwriting and working with other artists/producers so I may have to give the edge to recording.
Your newest single,“Keep In Touch” was just released. What was your first thought of your new song?
My thoughts on my new song is that I think it’s a good start to put that song out to begin my music career and also give an intro to who I am as an artist.
What was the process like creating your new single?
The process in creating the song came from hours of writing and brainstorming of how we wanted to deliver the message that the song gives. Working with the producers we are always challenging each other in how we may approach our lyrical writing and our melodies. We start early in the morning and end later in the day.
How did the music video for “Keep In Touch” come about?
Talking with my team we decided we liked having two different shots for the video. Both spots were located in Nashville.
Any fun moments on set?
I would say that just taking as many shots that we did it was fun challenging myself to find something new to do and freestyle dancing and using my body language to dictate what the viewers see.
What’s been your thought about your fans reaction to your new single?
It’s been amazing these past few weeks. The feedback I’ve received from my fans has been tremendous and I want to continue to put out more music that people can enjoy!
How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?
I want my relationship with my fans to be as if I’m a friend or a brother making connections through each other’s experiences.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?
I use all of the major social media’s I would say my favorite and most interactive media’s would be Facebook and Instagram.
Do you have any other cool projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’ve been in the studio touching up a few songs and I hope to be releasing a few more songs within the following months ahead!
What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?
A few goals I have set out in my career and personal life would have to be touring the country/world also producing within the studio. In my personal life I would say continue to workout and eat a clean diet.
How has this whole music career experience been so far?
My experience so far has been good! It’s also eye-opening to me to see what I need to work on and develop my skill set within performance and vocal health. There are a ton of talented artists out there making music right now so it’s motivating to me to be on the top of my game!
If you weren’t doing music, what would you be doing?
If I didn’t have music in my life I would be working on my family’s farm out in Deming, NM where we grow onions and chile! I love being out on the farm from dusk till dawn.
