OLIVIA LUNNY

Drops Socially Distanced Video for

Post-Breakup Anthem “Think Of Me”

Canadian singer-songwriter Olivia Lunny has harnessed some incredible momentum this year. Her first single of 2020, an infectious post-breakup indie-pop anthem entitled “Think Of Me” co-written by Tyler Shaw and produced by AJ Healey, was received to international acclaim. The song premiered on Billboard and earned her spots on coveted playlists including TIDAL’s Rising Pop, Spotify’s Fresh Finds, and Amazon Music’s Girl Squad and Artists to Watch 2020, of which she also appeared on the cover.

Olivia had always planned to release a visual for “Think Of Me,” but when the pandemic hit she, like everyone else, had to shift her focus and adjust. Weeks later, after the release of her second single “Bedsheets,” Olivia decided to revisit her plans and make a creative, socially distanced visual for “Think of Me.” She teamed up with NY-based video director Louis Browne of WMA and together they dreamed up an emotional visual that tapped into the vulnerability and uncertainty felt after a breakup; an exhibition of heartbreak.

When asked about the video treatment and how it relates to the song, Olivia shared, “We’ve all been there, we’ve all reminisced about our exes. Sometimes it’s simply the warmth of another body or the fact that this person truly makes you feel like you. The ‘Think of Me’ video observes people’s reactions when asked about their ex…maybe you’re not the only one driving yourself crazy.. maybe they’re actually thinking of you too.”

The video was shot in multiple locations, with Louis virtually directing Olivia in Canada from his place in New York. Olivia explains, “Filming a music video virtually was a wild experience. The restrictions around Covid-19 unfortunately, made flying to NYC impossible SO.. we had to get creative and find a way around this. Thankfully with the help of mail, Louis and I were able to collaborate using a retro CamCorder and Facetime. Once my portion of Filming was done, the crew was able to film the remainder of the video whilst socially distancing on set. I’m so excited to get this video out into the world as It embodies the song so well and will act as a capsule that reminds me – even though things may not always go as we want them to, with adaptation and creativity we are still able to collaborate and make beautiful art!”

Olivia Lunny is poised as the next breakthrough Canadian artist/songwriter; preparing for this moment since she started writing music at the tender age 12. As she embarks on this new era in her artistry, Lunny reveals the refined musicality she first began cultivating as a little girl and later showcased in performing to a crowd of 40,000 at the Winnipeg Folk Festival at age 14. Just three years later, in 2018, she released her self-titled EP which garnered her a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for “Pop Artist of the Year”. That success led to her appearance on season two of CTV’s The Launch, resulting in her winning season 2: episode 4 and recording the Top 40 hit “I Got You” – which hit #26 on the charts and has racked up over a million streams across platforms. In the wake of that milestone, Olivia went on to perform as opening support for the legendary Lionel Richie.

After releasing her second single “Blacklight” in October 2019, Olivia explored her experiences navigating the uncertain waters of adulthood and balancing love with heartbreak in order to inspire her latest batch of material. Now, the 21-year old artist is set to share a body of work that spotlights her sharply detailed lyrics and spellbinding vocal presence like never before.
