In just over a year’s time Canadian artist Olivia Lunny went from being crowned a winner on CTV’s singing competition ‘The Launch’ and scoring her first Top 40 hit, to capturing international attention with her velvety vocals and relatable songwriting. That incredible momentum culminates in the release of her heartfelt debut EP, ‘To The Ones I Loved,’ which released today, August 28th.

Olivia has been intentional about allowing contrasting sides of her artistry to shine with each release this year. Each single – breakup anthem co-written by Canadian chart-topper Tyler Shaw “Think of Me”, tender heartbreak ballad “Bedsheets,” and edgy pop bop “Hold Me” – are meant to operate like pieces of a puzzle, revealing a picture of Olivia finding herself and healing through heartbreak. The songs, which were produced by AJ Healey, garnered praise and support from Billboard, Refinery 29, Parade, PAPER Magazine, Pride, Hollywood Life, American Songwriter, Earmilk, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, and set the tone for Olivia’s debut EP.

When asked about how ‘To The Ones I Loved’ came together, Olivia shared, “each single has been made distinct through varied production. The lyrics and writing style however, are what tie them together at their core… These songs are all about navigating the emotions that come with love and heartbreak and no love or heartbreak is the same. Growth inevitably comes from these feelings, so collectively, these songs are the stories that give insight to my personal journey thus far.”
