X-Factor Australia cutie Jai Waetford seems to be living the dream.
The 15-year-old from Sydney was spotted in LA on Tuesday sitting in a coffee shop with his guitar in hand, practicing a little ditty ahead of a session in the recording studio.
He walked to the cafe from his nearby hotel, carrying his black guitar case and looking like a funky local.
Jai certainly had street style down pat – wearing a faux leather long sleeved jumper that featured a print across the front with white dotted trousers gathered around the ankle, canvas shoes and a black baseball cap.
Jai left for LA at the end of January with it raining on arrival in the normally sunny California.
‘So. On average it rains 2-3 days a year in Los Angeles and it’s raining when we arrive?’ he told fans on Instagram, before admitting he was ‘actually exited for the rain’.
Posting an artistic black and white shot of himself sitting on a sofa in front of a picture of the Hollywood sign on Wednesday, the young singer seemed to be falling more and more in love with the eclectic city.
‘Love this place,’ he simply wrote next to the photo.
The Aussie teenager also appears to be taken by the local delicacies, snapping a selfie outside the famous burger chain In N Out.
‘Never loved something so much,’ he captioned the shot.
It’s been just over a year since the youngster came third on The X-Factor Australia and was signed to Sony Music Australia shortly after.
Earlier this year the singer/songwriter released his third EP, Shy, and is currently recording some new material in LA.
It’s not known how long the young star will be Stateside for but he seems to be enjoying his time there.
