Missyou Chats With TMI About Their Journey As A Band

Hey Guys!! So excited to be chatting with you. What led to you guys forming “Missyou”?

Thanks so much for having us! Music has always brought me back to places of deep despair or moments of victory, great happiness or moments of deep depression, it’s always been about emotion, Missyou is the embodiment of that idea, you always are missing someone or something and music can bring you back or forward in Time, even if it’s just for a moment, that can be everything, there is magic in that.

How did you guys all meet & become a band?

Me (Blaise) and Omer (guitar) met in NYC and starting working together, then our drummer saw us play a show and asked if he could jam with us, and he brought a friend he grew up with who plays bass and that was that.

What’s the meaning of the name “Missyou”?

It’s about telling people they are not alone, everyone misses someone.

What’s the difference from your band and all bands that are currently doing well?

The only difference between us and anyone else is that we have our own point of view, we support anyone expressing a genuine perspective.

Can you tell us a little something about each of you?

Omer loves soda, Blaise is vegan, Vin loves expensive shoes, Pete eats a lot of chips

What inspired you guys to pursue music?

We were not good at math.

How would you describe your musical style as a band?

We are genre-fluid.

What artists do you guys look up to right now?

The 1975, The NHBRD, nothing, nowhere, NF, Yungblud

Are there any projects in the works you can tell us about?

Lots but you will have to wait and see… add us on Instagram to keep up. @missyou_music

Why do you think social media is so important for singers today?

It connects directly to fans.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

An open dialogue, we want are fans to feel like they can trust us, we don’t want fans, we want family and friends, we want to stand together.

How has this whole music career experience been?

Ask me in another year or so.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

We love you, and we Missyou. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Thanks for taking the time to do this interview 🙂

Thanks for having us, hope to see you soon!
