A Bieber fan named Hailey asked Liam on Twitter: “@Real_Liam_Payne Isn’t it kinda depressing for you to know that Justin Bieber will always be more successful than you?”
Rather than ignore the taunting question, Liam slammed Justin in this brief reply: “@arianasmccann how many times have I been arrested.” Perhaps realizing he should have just ignored the comment, he followed it up with “Never mind” with a thumbs up emoji.
As you can imagine, things didn’t go very well from there, as Hailey continued to diss Liam while a firestorm of Beliebers vs. Directioners swirled.
She flung a number of insults Liam’s way, which he continued to ignore, including: “Liam is disgusting. Justin apologized several times for his mistakes, he deserves so much respect. I don’t know why people idolize Liam.”
The Bieber fan also called Liam Payne “an untalented, embarrassing joke” and encouraged other fans to get the hashtag #BeliebersWantOneDirectionDead.
