Can you tell us a little something about each of you?

LOGEN: I’m a Director/Photographer based in Nashville with a background in cinema and TV.

Lena: I’m a country singer/songwriter originally from Carlisle, MA now living in Nashville, TN.

What inspired you guys to pursue a career in the music industry?

LOGEN: I produce and create with a lot of different kinds of storytellers and music is about half of what I do with my Production company Stormlight Pictures. Started out making music videos for my friends who were musicians when I was a teenager and always stayed pretty close to the industry and its creators.

Lena: I’ve been writing songs since I was a little girl, and all I’ve ever wanted to do is be onstage and share my songs with people.  Moving to Nashville was the best thing I ever could have done, it really is the home of country music!

You guys just released the video for Lena’s new single “Hotel”. What was it like working together on this fun project?

LOGEN: Hotel was one of my favorite video projects to date. Lena and I have done a lot of work together and we have a really good creative collaboration energy so everything was smooth and fun!

Lena: Working with Logen and Stormlight Pictures is so great because we’ve done a lot of projects together, so there’s a really incredible level of trust and creativity that comes with that shared history.  Plus the song and the video treatment are both super fun, so the whole shoot had a really great vibe!

How did the idea for the video come about?

LOGEN: Lena had a base for the idea about her girls night, then we compiled some other visuals that could really make it a fun video and stand out – mainly a pink limo!

Lena: – We really pulled from the lyrics of the song and told the story of this epic girls’ night out through the video and all the visual elements!

Are there any other projects in the works you guys can tell us about? (Anything you’re planning next as far as future content with Logen)

Lena: “Hotel” is the second single off my upcoming EP (due spring 2020) so we’re already brainstorming videos for the remaining songs, and we have some really incredible ideas!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists today?

Lena – Social media lets artists bring their music and videos and content directly to fans, and lets us do it in such a personal way where we really get to show people who we are and what we stand for.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

Lena – I always joke that I don’t really believe in personal space…if I meet you after a show or even on the street and you’ve taken the time to listen to my music, I want to give you a hug! I love that personal connection with fans and I really want to be accessible to the people who have given me this incredible life.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

Lena  – I’m totally addicted to instagram, and I’m getting really interested in YouTube and reaching fans that way.

What’s an average day like for you guys?

LOGEN: Creative Meetings and work on upcoming projects, putting teams together and filming cool projects. Then days we have in my studio putting together projects.

Lena – I start every day at the gym, it’s so necessary for my mental health and overall happiness!  Then it’s typically a songwriting session, a meeting or two, and playing or watching a show in the evening!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years in your career and personal life?

Lena – In 5 years I would love to be signed to a record label.  I’d love to have my music playing on Country Radio, and continuing to meet and connect with my fans.

How has this whole music career experience been?

Lena – It’s so much harder than I imagined when I was a little girl writing songs on my bedroom floor, but it’s also so much more rewarding.  The songwriters and musicians I’ve gotten to collaborate with, the fans I’ve gotten to share such special memories with, and the songs I’ve gotten to be a part of mean the world to me.

Do you have any advice for aspiring music artists?

Lena – Don’t give up.  If you can connect with even one person, and touch even one heart with your music, it is so worth it.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your fans?

Lena – THANK YOU!!! I couldn’t do any of this without you. And stay tuned, because I have some really cool things up my sleeve.
