Hey Lauren, So excited to be chatting with you! Since it’s officially fall! How was your summer?
Hiiii! Thank you for taking the time! Summer was insanely crazy but so much fun. Fall is my favorite season so I’m just excited for the weather to change a bit.
You are gearing up for the release of your new single “Soaking Up Every Second”. How did the idea for this song get created?
I was down in Nashville writing with a buddy of mine, Adam McDonough and I was telling him that I was trying to enjoy all the little moments while staying so busy and it clicked.
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?
I know so many of my fans have related to it during the shows we have played it live but I hope everyone feels that same sense of happiness and joy that I feel when I sing it and I hope it’s a reminder to everyone to take a breath and a moment and enjoy life as it’s happening.
What do you want your music to do for your fans? What do you want your message to be?
I want my music to touch my fans the way music has touched me. It’s altered my mood, it’s helped me through tough times- Maren Morris said it best, there’s a song for everything- and I hope my songs, this song is that to someone. I think every song has a different message but since my music is personal I hope it’s also relatable.
Are there any projects in the works you can tell us about?
Yes! A few actually… I’m working on some more tour dates which we can hopefully announce soon and I’ve been in the studio working on LOTS of new music including something special for the holiday season!
