Each first week of the month, Musical.ly selects 15 new songs to be finalists in their NextWave initiative. The song with the most musical.ly’s made during the month wins the opportunity to perform live in the Billboard office and be a featured trending hash tag the following months.
In November, there were a staggering 1.3 million videos created to the 15 #NextWave songs and 261 million views on those videos.
Ky’s song Just Dance has been featured in famous musers JiffPom (9.17 million followers) and Casey Simpsons (5.13 followers) musical.ly’s.
JiffPom has done an adorable boomerang to Ky’s song with the caption #NextWaveMay.
Casey did a funny and entertaining musical.ly where he sang into a hairbrush while dancing around his room using the caption “Being silly to @iamkybaldwin new awesome song!! #NextWaveMay #BeYouChallenge
Ky’s new single, “Just Dance”, was written by Ky and produced by Matthew Moz Jenkins. It is a very upbeat melody about being confident to be yourself and dance like no one is watching. Just Dance is the first single from Ky’s new EP “Dare to Believe” due for release in late May and features 6 original songs all written by Ky.
Musers from all around the world can choose Ky’s song Just Dance from the #NextWaveMay category and create their own unique musical.ly.
To be an eligible vote musers must tag #NextWaveMay and can also tag @iamkybaldwin to be featured in his own social media marketing.
