Kolten Chats With TMI About His New Music Video For “Medicine”

Hey Kolten! So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your new video for “Medicine” & it’s awesome!
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new video?

There isn’t a lot you can do during Covid production wise so in this music video we are trying something new and I hope everyone likes it!

Can you tell us the backstory of this video? How did you come up with the idea for this video?

We tried to tell a story that relates to the meaning behind this song. Sometimes we have that special someone that just doesn’t let you in, or even share how they feel. You really feel closed off and if they would just open up you could help them. So, Jeff-X Visuals used his creative team with resources that were available to tell a story that story starring teen model Bella Fenoglio. Some of the actual scenes in this video were actually inspired by Bella and her experience in underwater photography. So, we thought what better way to express the emotions two teenagers go through and add the creativity of Jeff Watson it’s something to see.

We’re there any challenges in the recording due to the Pandemic?

Yes! All scenes had to be filmed outdoors and in the open with room to spread out so we used the areas available to get the best scenes. Only problem with that is the temperature was 59 degrees and the pool even heated was about 65 to 70 which was still extremely cold for Bella and the crew.

We’re there any fun/funny moments that happened on set?

We had a good time and had a lot of laughs but one of the funniest things to watch was the crew using fireworks to make smoke in the background. There were actually a couple of duds but one backfired sending a crew member running into the woods squealing. It was all caught on camera so of course we had to watch reruns and laugh!

What was your favorite part of the music video?

The underwater scenes are by far the most unique and eye-catching scenes so it’s my favorite part.

Would you say this is your favorite music video you’ve done so far?

I’m not in the video you see my profile for just a second so yes that kind of makes this my favorite video so far.

Is there anyone you want to thank that helped you make this video come to life?

Yes! Bella Fenoglio thank you so much for enduring the cold and your professionalism on set she’s extremely talented. Also want to thank award winning filmmaker and producer Jeffery Watson for creatively bringing this project to life and using his talent in special effects to create the emotion behind the story.
