So Kacey, you started your acting career at a very young age, what inspired you to try acting?–

I’ve always enjoyed performing! Since I was a few years old, I would improvise shows for my family and friends and I absolutely loved it. I would cut out pieces of paper to make tickets and pretend to sell them. I pretended it was a real show and my carpet was my stage. I’m so thankful for my family, who have always supported my dreams.

What actor/actress are you influenced by?–

I really like Zendaya!  She is an amazing role model for girls and a great actress.  I like her comedic take on her roles.  It would be great to be on a show with her someday!

You are known for your series regular role on Nickelodeon’s “React To That” & the YouTube series “Kids React”. Can you explain the process of how you got these roles?–

I auditioned for “Kids React” when I was eight years old and got accepted to be on the series.  “React To That” was a television version of the show with added bonus games and stuff.  Super fun to film.

Can you explain the character you portray?–

I get to be myself on these shows, which is great!  I am able to express my views and opinions and share them with others.

What do you think makes this show standout from other react shows that have been aired on other networks?–

This was a pioneer show and what makes it standout is definitely its content, cast and creators.  The ideas are always new and fresh.  I feel like other shows often copy this series.  Also, there is a huge loyal fan base that has been watching the show since the beginning.

Whats your favorite part about being on “React To That”?

My favorite part was definitely all the games and competitions between the cast.  It was so much fun to answer trivia, peel oranges or pizza slap each other.  It was a fun and amazing time on set of each episode.

Whats your favorite part about being on set?

I love being on set!  It’s always fun to get ready, get into a character and be in front of the camera.  Also, it’s fun to be on set with your friends and react to videos together.

How do you and the other cast members get along? Do you guys have any rituals before filming?–

I always have gotten along with cast members! Most of the people I’ve worked with are super nice and if anyone isn’t, I’m still nice to them. We always make each other laugh and smile as well as take lots of photos in between takes!

Whats an average week like on set?–

When I filmed “Game Shakers” for Nickelodeon, we had a table read and then rehearsals, blocking and filming.  It was eight days total to film one episode! It was super fun to hang out with other actors between takes and play games or relax in our rooms.  Oh and the food was amazing!

In addition to acting, You are a passionate singer breaking into music with an impressive vocal range and unique sound. What inspired you to try singing?

I have always liked to sing and perform.  I was approached by a music producer, Ricardo Padua, when I was 10 years old.  We released a song titled “When I Grow Up” and it was the start of my music career.

Did you want to be an actor and singer when you were little, or did that develop later on?–

I wanted to be a performer and I loved both.  Acting was my biggest passion when I was little and I constantly quoted young actresses from all The Disney and Nickelodeon shows 🙂

How would you describe your musical style?

It’s pop music with some EDM influence.  My latest single “Won’t Give Up” is a ballad so I try to mix it up.  I am working on something new, which will be upbeat and fun so stay tuned.

What’s your favorite song to perform live?–

Definitely “Keep Summer Going” because it’s fun, summery and makes people want to dance!

Are there any artists that you look up to right now?–

I’ve always looked up to Taylor Swift and Victoria Justice as I grew up listening to them and singing along. I’m currently really inspired by Lin-Manuel Miranda. He is incredibly talented for composing amazing musicals such as In The Heights and Hamilton (which I’m currently obsessed with). The way he created his songs is truly brilliant as he’s telling a story, with a catchy melody that even rhymes. It’s really crazy that someone could create such an elaborate story almost completely in a song.

Have you ever been starstruck by anyone you’ve met so far?–

I have met many incredible people, actors, You Tube stars, artists.  They are all stars in my eyes so I am not going to single out anyone.

Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?–

Yup! I have new song coming out in June and I think it may be my best one yet. I’m super excited about it!

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?–

I’m currently working on a new music video too! It’ll have a ton of cool aspects. I can’t tell much about it yet but it’ll be out soon.

What are your friends and parents thoughts on your career in singing and acting?–

My friends and parents are super supportive! My parents are my biggest fans but they’re definitely not afraid to be real and offer critique to help me become the best I can be.

What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?–

First, I would like to finish college with film making and business degrees and have a successful career to have a voice to help my causes.  I am a passionate animal rights supporter and a vegetarian so I would love to have an animal sanctuary and a rescue when I am older.

What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment so far in your career as a singer and actor?

There are a few, but the one that stands out is my music video for “Hear Me Out” being selected by Dances with Films festival and screening in the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.  Seeing my video on the big screen alongside amazing producers and directors was definitely my dream coming true.  In addition, “Hear Me Out” got awarded by several other film festivals.

Overall, how has this whole acting and singing career experience been for you?

It has been a lot of hard work, but very rewarding.  There is so much work that goes into everything I do.  Sometimes fans don’t realize the massive preparation that goes into each and every project.

Do you have any advice for anyone trying to make it as a singer or actor?–

Just love what you do and do what you love.  It’s a lot of hard work, but you will love it if it’s your calling.  Also, don’t take rejection personally.  It happens and you just need to move on.

You also have written and released 8 original songs. What’s the process of writing one of your songs?

The songwriting process has to be spontaneous and not forced.  When I get together with my music producer, we start talking ideas and what has been on my mind.  Sometimes we come up with a great topic and ideas flow from there.

What was your favorite song to record?

All of my song have inspiring lyrics so they are all close to my heart so it’s hard to choose a favorite.  If I had to choose one, it would be “Won’t Give Up” just because it’s about hope and being strong and not giving up no matter what.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?–

Although I also have Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Snapchat and Musical.ly, I definitely use Instagram the most so I highly recommend you check that out of you haven’t already! My Instagram is @kacey_fifield

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?–

I want to be able to communicate with everyone who supports me! That’s why I always respond to comments whenever I can.

Does your fan base have a name?–

Not yet!  I had a couple of suggestions, but nothing really stuck yet so I am open to any new ideas 🙂

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?–

Just recently two guys followed me and my mom out of a birthday party… we were like… run!  But they just asked for an autograph 🙂

Do you have any other talents other than singing and acting?–

I play some piano and guitar.  I played piano in my song “Won’t Give up”.

What 5 words would you use to describe yourself?–

Caring, Fun, Energetic, Unique, Genuine

If your life was a movie, what would be the title?–

“Alice in Wonderland”, but switch it to “Kacey in Hollywood Land”

Who would you want to play you?–

I’d like to play myself! I would be able to portray all the scenes best, since I’ve lived through it.  It’s my life, after all!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your fans?–

Love you all and appreciate you following my journey.  Kindness matters so be kind!

Thanks for taking the time to do this interview! —

Thank you!!!
