Hey Kacey! So excited to be chatting with you again! Can you tell us what you’ve been up to recently?
I’ve been super busy working on writing new songs and working on covers! I’m also continuing to train for the upcoming track season and practicing for virtual debate competitions!
You just released your new single “Confidential”! How excited are you that this single is finally out into the world?
I’m so pumped for everyone to hear it! It was super hard keeping this song a secret, but I had to keep the details confidential until the release date. Also this is my first single recorded in quarantine and worked on remotely so that was a different experience.
Can you tell us how this song came together?
I wanted to try something different with my next single which led me to the super cool beat and the chill instrumental vibe of Confidential. Believe it or not, the lyrics came to me while I was brushing my teeth! I had to spit out my toothpaste so I could sing them out.
Can you spill any details on release plans for any other new songs?!?
I can’t spill any new details yet! But I’m working on some pretty cool songs that I absolutely love.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
My family is the reason I am able to pursue my dreams and I am eternally grateful for that! Besides them, I definitely want to thank my awesome music producer, Ricardo Padua, and my amazing vocal coach, Robbie Rosen! They’ve helped me develop my voice and become a better singer and songwriter. Of course, I wouldn’t be here without my supporters so they get a huge thank you for being fans of my music and inspiring me to keep working hard!
How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?
Hmm.. I’d probably say supportive, kind and inspiring! I love chatting with as many people as I can in my comment section on Instagram!
What do you think makes your fan community/fandom different from others?
One of the main things I feel differentiates them from other “fandoms” is that I try to interact with them through comments and interactive YouTube videos and posts. I love and appreciate all of my supporters! They’ve gotten me so far, it’s the least I could do. <3
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
In all of my songs, I try to include relatable and inspirational messages. The overarching theme is to be true to yourself. Don’t let anyone bring you down, never give up, and make sure your voice is heard.
Are you planning any (virtual) tours to meet your supporters?
I actually haven’t thought about that but now that you mention it, that’s a super cool idea! I’ll look into that.
Do you have any pre show rituals that help you get pumped up to meet your supporters?
I love performing live and definitely miss doing it! I always make sure to go through an extensive vocal warm up, but other than that, the best way for me to get ready is to relax and just go with the flow.
What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?
I think it’s important for everyone to realize that their uniqueness is special and that everyone is different for a reason! Also giving back is very important! I volunteer for multiple charities and it is very rewarding to share your time with those in need.
What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
Most people know this but I think some newer followers may not know that I’m half Polish and fluent in the language. I also go to a regular school and am involved in many extracurriculars there, including Speech and Debate, Track and Field and Children’s Hospital Aid Club.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
My dreams. (I know that’s two words but just saying “dreams” might make it sound like my actual sleep-induced dreams are coming true, and those dreams are pretty weird lol)
What do your fans call themselves? And How did that fanbase name catch on?
There have been a few fan names that have been going around but nothing official! I just love calling them all my supporters.
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
That I’m a normal person! I go to grocery stores and theme parks and there’s a pretty big chance you’ll see me at Halloween Horror Nights or Six Flags hahaha.
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
I am a huge fan of Hamilton so I would love to meet the mastermind behind it, Lin Manuel Miranda.
Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists like yourself?
Almost everyone is on social media! It’s a great way to connect with people and meet people across the world you’d never met otherwise.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
At this point, I’m not completely sure what I want to do with my future as I’m so interested in many things. Regardless of my future career, I know that I definitely want to open an animal sanctuary as that is a cause I am super passionate about!
Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
Thank you so much and love you all!
