So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your new single! How excited are you that this song is finally out into the world?
I’m so excited! This song is super meaningful to me and I’m beyond pumped to be sharing that with the world!
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?
I hope my supporters will enjoy listening to the song and also maybe feel less alone in their own difficult times 🙂 This song is meant to be able to relate to people so I hope that the listeners feel heard!
Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?
Writing “Confused,” I wanted to describe the struggles that various people, including myself, are facing during the currently overwhelming circumstances caused by the pandemic. I think everyone has experienced a certain degree of despondency at least once in their lives, so I wanted to communicate that through the song.
You also have more music coming out soon!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you this year?!?
I am definitely working on some new songs that I’m very excited about. I can’t release details yet but stay tuned on my social media for updates 😉
Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?
Yes, for sure! The idea for the song was completely mine and the rest of the lyrics were written by me with the help of my producer Robbie Rosen!
What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?
It feels great; I love being able to share my own thoughts and feelings with the world by expressing myself musically.
Where did your love of music come from?
I have loved singing and making music for as long as I can remember; it has always been intuitive to me so I’d say I was born with my love of music!
Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video?
There’s still a lot up in the air because of COVID, but my Instagram will be the first place I post about it if we do end up creating a music video!
What’s been the pros and cons of pursuing your music career?
My music career has an overwhelming amount of pros as opposed to cons! While, of course, there are the occasional haters, my incredible supporters and the joy I receive from sharing my music greatly outweigh any amount of hate I receive.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
My mom, of course! She’s my #1 fan and always supports my dreams and ambitions so I’m extremely grateful for her!
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I want my supporters to feel like they can relate to my message and that they are not alone in their struggles. Things will get better, as my song “Confused” notes, and it’s important to stay true to yourself and not let anyone bring you down, just like I say in my song “Bring Me Down!”
Are you planning any IG Live shows to promote your new music?
I’m definitely planning on doing some Q&A fun live streams on Instagram! I love answering questions about my passions and new musical pursuits.
What is it like performing in front of your fans? Are you excited to start performing your own music live!?!
I have done a few performances in the past and they’ve all been amazing! The energy of the crowd is so inspiring and I’m very excited to be able to perform again post-pandemic.
What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
I’m vegetarian! Some long-term supporters definitely know this but it’s not a super common fact about me!
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
I would love to meet Lin Manuel Miranda! He’s extremely talented and I truly admire all of his work, from Hamilton to the music he produced for Moana as well as his other musical endeavors! His work has truly inspired me and I would love to meet him.
What’s your current go-to song?
I love “Affluenza” by Conan Gray! It’s such a great song!
Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?
Without social media, it would be way harder to connect with my supporters so I’d say that’s the most important part! Being able to interact with the people who support me is amazing and I’m so glad I can do so through social media.
