What led to you guys forming RØYLS?

We all were looking to start a serious project to put our entire hearts into.

How did you guys all meet & become a band?

We knew each other from playing music around LA and the UK the past couple years. Once we figured out we all wanted to do the same thing, we decided to stick together.

What’s the meaning of the name “RØYLS”?

There’s no meaning, we just like how it sounds!

What’s the difference between your band and all bands that are currently doing well?

One way RØYLS is different is the band is that we are very versatile. All of us play multiple instruments and sing, and we are experimenting with a lot of genres and sounds in our music at the moment.

Can you tell us a little something about each of you?

Liam – I can jump INTO a pair of pants.

Sean – I used to be obsessed with becoming a professional footballer as a kid.

Drew – I did gymnastics growing up.

With all of you already having a massive social media following, you guys have an incredible jumping off point to promote this project!! Can you spill any details about your debut single “Savages”?

We wrote this song with the legend John Feldmann, this is where we saw how skilled of a songwriter he is, he put out so many great ideas during the session.

Can you tell us about what this song means to each of you?

Liam – This song means a lot to me. I’ve been in this situation before and that’s where I was reaching to for lyrics while we were writing this.

Sean – The message is so raw & real when you take away the production. The fact all 3 of us relate to this situation and used different life experiences to write the song together make its extra special.

Drew – I’ve personally gone through relationships and you do anything towards the end to try and keep it together. So this song really relates to me.

What do you hope your supporters will think of your new song? What do you hope they’ll get from hearing your new song?

We hope this song will touch our fans as much as it touches us, and if they’re going through something similar, that they’ll be moved and maybe learn something new.

What do you hope to gain out of your new band?

We don’t really hope to gain as much as we hope to create. We want to create as much authentic music that we love as possible and create a family with all the fans that relate to it.

What do you think is the benefit of having a following on social media in the music industry?

The bigger the following the bigger the reach for our music to fans and to hopefully people that haven’t heard our music yet so having a following is always beneficial. Having a following on social media is also a really beneficial way to stay connected with everyone daily no matter where they are in the world, technology is pretty cool.

What’s the feeling you guys get when performing in front of your fans?

A new level of adrenaline! Performing is pure bliss to us.

Does your fanbase have a name?

There is no fanbase name no!

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

An open book! We want to let them in on as much as we can do so they can always stay updated on what we’re up to with music & life. It is always important to have some privacy as social media can be draining if you get in too deep with it

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

We try to stay evenly active on all social media outlets.

What was the craziest fan encounter you guys have had?

Drew – I was in the restroom peeing and the guy came up next to me and In the middle of peeing was like “ hey man I love you, can we get a photo”

Will there be an EP or album out soon?

We don’t wanna give anything away too early! But we can confirm we’re writing constantly so there’s songs to be released.

What’s an average day for you guys look like?

It’s so different daily! But that’s what’s so awesome about it. It’s never a set schedule and opportunities & inspiration makes every day exciting.

Where do you guys hope the band is in 5 years?

Still touring, still making music that we feel passionate about & growing as a band and people and still connecting with our supporters daily.

Do you guys have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

The support so far this early on has been so unbelievable, we’re grateful for all of you and we’re really excited to show you more of RØYLS.
