You just released the music video for your latest single “Nervous Breakdown” and it has already gained a lot of attention, what has been your thought on the reaction of the song?
I played my first two shows recently and people were singing the words to Nervous Breakdown. It was really cool to know that people care and connect enough to listen and learn the words.
How did the idea for the music video come about?
Nervous Breakdown in my mind doesn’t have to be about a romantic relationship. My main focus of the video was to not have a love interest but instead focus on my friends. They’ve always been good to me when I’m down.
What was your favorite part about filming the video?
I got to bring the song to life with a bunch of my friends.

Can you tell us how your new song “Fake Louis” came about and the meaning of the song?
I carry a Fake Louis and I joke about it a lot. I was in the studio with my co-creators and we were just going over melodies and Mia made a comment and we started singing “I bring my fake louis to the party”. The song is about the weight thats lifted when you start caring more about your own sense of self than other peoples opinions.
What was the process like creating the song?
We messed with a bunch of chords until we landed on the ones for FL. The songwriting happened super quickly after that because we were so inspired by what Dave was doing.
What was your first thought of the new song?
I just kept jumping in the studio.. Honestly I’m not sure I sat down the entire day. I was really excited about the energy.
Do you have a creative say in your music and videos?
100% creative say and control
What do you hope to gain out of your music career?
I just want to connect with people on an emotional level. I hope my songs can do that.
What do you want your fans to get from listening to your music?
comfort and confidence
Are you planning on touring or doing any shows anytime soon?
No plans to tour right now but I am going to be announcing more shows soon!
Are there any other fun projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’ve got another single coming out next month and I’m working on an EP to release this summer.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?
I use instagram and twitter equally. Social media can be frustrating and anxiety inducing but its also a beautiful way to stay connected.
