What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?
I really hope it was worth the wait! And that they find different ways to connect with both songs. They’re both empowering in their own ways, so I want people to believe in themselves and go for what they want 😉
Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?
It’s a general feeling I have with honestly everything! It’s about trusting your own intuition and how your opinion should always out weigh the opinions of others.
You also have more music coming out in 2019!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to this year?!?
Yes! I’ll have new music every month, music videos, and some live shows! So I just released my second single this year, “New Girlfriend”. And I’ll play School Night in LA on April 8th, and then Sun Fest in Florida in May!
Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?
Yes definitely! I’m very involved in which songs I decide to put out and I write or co-write on most of the records. One of my favorite parts is working on the videos because I’m very involved there. I love bringing the audio to life and really painting a picture!
What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?
Incredible! It’s kinda crazy because your song could be sitting in your email for months or years and then poof! one day it’s out in the world! But then I think back to all the hours I’ve spent in writing rooms, studios, shooting the videos, and it’s the most amazing feeling to be able to share it! Finally!
Are you releasing a music video along with your new single? If so, Can you tell us about the concept of the music video?
Yes, the videos will drop the same day as the song. We based the “Jump The Fence” video all around this plexiglass box which was a metaphor for seeing what you want but there’s opinions or distractions stopping you. And then the “New Girlfriend” video was inspired by classic 90s Calvin Klein, and represents the people that come in and out of your life in your early 20s: looking for love, making mistakes, and discovering what makes you happy.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
Omg too many to list, but I really wouldn’t be anywhere without my sister who pushed me to join choir, which is what landed me here.
How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?
Loyal, supportive and beautiful!
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I want them to feel empowered and inspired and know that they’re not alone.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
Accepted. I feel like they’ve been so patient and I love how I can put out something different than the record before, and they’ll still enjoy it and find ways to connect with it just the same!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?
It’s the best tool to connect with people at any time, anywhere. I love reading my DM’s and hearing how any of my music helped someone through a tough situation.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
I’d love to play as many festivals as possible! Coachella would definitely be a goal just because I’ve been going for YEARS, so that would be really cool!

There’s not a second where I’m not appreciative. I’m very grateful for all the support and especially my day ones!
