We are so excited to be premiering your new single “Fix”. It’s amazing. How did the idea for this song come about? & Can you tell us the meaning behind the name “Fix”?
Thank you! The idea came to me when I felt stuck in the same place. I was living in a really small town, I couldn’t trust anyone, I got a lot of hate for leaving school to do music. I was honestly just bored where I was, and knew I needed to change where I was and who I was around. The meaning behind “Fix” is to live your life how YOU want to.
What’s the process of writing one of your songs?
For me, the lyrics always come first. They either come to me all at once, or I’ll think of one phrase or sentence, so I’ll write it down in my journal and keep coming back to it. Then I’ll hit up a producer & Eventually I’ll have a song.
Do you have a creative say in your music and videos?
Of course. Every song or video I put out is 100% authentic and 100% me. Artists should always have a creative say in their music and videos. It’s their art.
Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’m currently working on a few new singles to release soon, and an album sometime in 2019.
What’s an average day like for you?
I wake up, work, or spend time outside if the weather is nice. I try to write everyday. Unless I’m super busy.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?
Definitely instagram.
Why do you think social media is so important for artists today?
With social media it makes it so much easier to share your music & brand with people across the world & connect with fans. Artists back then didn’t have that. It’s very cool. But I also think it can be a bad thing. People care way too much about how many likes or followers they have. They’re are so many very talented people with just a few followers. Then they’re are some not so talented people with millions. Just speaking the truth.
Do you have any last things to tell your supporters?
Thank you for listening to my music. I don’t care about money or fame. I’m happy to be doing what I love everyday and changing lives and perspectives with my music. If you have a dream or goal please keep going. You will fail a few times, but don’t quit. It will be worth it.
